摘要: A vehicle starter assembly includes a switching circuit configured to operate in a charging state and a discharging state, and a first energy storage device and a second energy storage device electrically connected to the switching circuit. The first energy storage device and the second energy storage device are connected in parallel to one another in the charging state and in series with one another in the discharging state. The processor is programmed to detect an engine start request and output a switch control signal that toggles the switching circuit between the charging state and the discharging state to start an internal combustion engine of a host vehicle.

摘要: A series battery start controller for starting an aircraft turbine engine and method thereof is provided, wherein the battery series start controller connects two batteries in series when an aircraft engine starter is engaged to provide a higher voltage to start the aircraft engine and to provide adequate operational voltage to aircraft engine instruments and other aircraft electrical systems, and wherein the battery series start controller reconnects the batteries in parallel when the electrical load drawn by the starting aircraft engine decreases and the supplied voltage to the aircraft rises to a predetermined threshold.

摘要: A start-stop module for a vehicle can include a capacitor, one or more switches and a controller. The switches can be configured to connect the capacitor in parallel or in series with a battery of the vehicle. The controller can receive an input voltage having a magnitude based on a connection between the capacitor and the battery, and output a desired voltage that is appropriate for operating accessory loads of the vehicle. The controller can control the switches to switch between a standby mode and a cranking mode. The capacitor is in parallel with the battery in standby mode and in series with the battery in cranking mode. The controller can switch to the cranking mode when the engine is about to be restarted and return to standby mode after the engine has been restarted and when the battery voltage reaches the desired voltage for the accessory loads.

摘要: The present invention discloses a dual-voltage vehicle electric system in which a dual-battery vehicle electric system is integrated. In this dual-voltage vehicle electric system, two conventional vehicle batteries are used and are generally operated while connected in series. The series circuit provides the supply voltage for the vehicle electric system at a relatively high voltage for high-power loads. In order to implement an emergency start, both batteries, specifically a starter battery (BS) and a vehicle electric system battery (BB), are connected in parallel. In the case of a defective generator (G) or DC/DC converter (1), an emergency operating supply via battery is possible. The switching of a starter commutation device (U) which is arranged in the connection between the starter battery (BS) and the vehicle electric system battery (BB) is carried out by means of a control device (2) which receives input signals from sensing devices at the starter (S), generator (G), DC/DC converter (1), the starter battery (BS), the vehicle electric system battery (B) and an ignition switch (ZS) and a starter switch (SS) and correspondingly adapts the actuation.
