    摘要: An arrangement for concentrated solar power energy conversion is provided having a receiving tower founded on a ground level, at least one receiver attached to the receiving tower in a receiving height above the ground level, further having at least one ground station positioned on ground level, wherein the receiver has at least one solar collector to receive concentrated sunlight, wherein the solar collector has a heat exchanger exchanging heat with a process fluid to be heated up. The receiver also has at least one top compressor to compress the process fluid before it enters the heat exchanger, wherein the receiver has at least one top compressor driving unit driving the top compressor, wherein the ground station has at least one ground turbine driving a driven unit, wherein the ground station receives the process fluid from the receiver to be expanded in the ground turbine.

    摘要: An auxiliary steam supply system in a solar power plant includes a solar receiver having a superheater section, a turbine, a steam circuit, a thermal energy storage arrangement and an auxiliary steam circuit. The thermal energy storage arrangement, including a thermal energy storage medium, is configured for the steam circuit to receive a portion of the steam to heat the thermal energy storage medium. The thermal energy storage arrangement may receive the steam from any location across the superheater section. Moreover, the auxiliary steam circuit generating auxiliary steam flow, which thermally communicates with the thermal energy storage arrangement to be heated, is introduced to any location across the superheater section. Capacity of the thermal energy storage arrangement may be relatively small as compared to the solar receiver and may be compact for placement on top of a tower.

    摘要: A solar receiver system (10) has a solar receiver (12) that receives sun rays (14) directed thereto. The receiver (12) has a heat pipe (26) having working fluid (38) therein. The first end (28) of heat pipe (26) and a second end (30) form a respective first condenser (32) and a second condenser (34). An evaporator portion (36) is disposed between the ends (28,30). The first end (28) has an air manifold (42) therearound. The second end has a liquid manifold (48) therearound. The heated air from the air manifold (42) is provided to a power generation device (22). The power generation device (22) receives heated air from the air manifold (42) which is expanded in a turbine (68) to extract mechanical work therefrom. The turbine (68) may be coupled to a generator (78) for generating electrical power in response to the mechanical energy.

In one aspect, an electricity generating apparatus includes a housing including a double-walled section containing a thermal salt to store heat and form a pressure chamber within the housing, a collector coupled with the housing and including two or more inlet channels configured to direct ambient air into the pressure chamber, and a nozzle coupled with the housing configured to direct a convection current of air into the pressure chamber, and a turbine including a rotor and a stator to generate electricity from air flow through the pressure chamber, the rotor having an aerodynamic rotor case and convergent blades and the stator having an aerodynamic stator case and divergent blades, and where the double-walled section containing the thermal salt surrounds at least a portion of the collector and surrounds a portion of the turbine.
