A progressing cavity gas pumping method using a progressing cavity gas pump, gas coming from a gas inlet is delivered with a rotationally driven rotor within a stator and through a stator interior having an elastomeric inner surface to a gas outlet and is compressed, and wherein from a lubricant reservoir below the stator, a lubricant supply to the stator interior takes place via lubricant conduit devices, and lubricant from the stator interior is recycled via the lubricant conduit devices into the lubricant reservoir.

    摘要: A compressor includes a closed casing having a suction chamber and a discharge chamber. A rotating member is arranged in the casing and has a spiral bore extending along the axis of rotation of the rotating member. The bore has first and second end openings communicating with the suction and discharge chambers, respectively. A spiral internal member is inserted into the bore to rotate relative to the rotating member as the rotating member is rotated by an electric motor section in the casing. In conjunction with an inner surface of the bore, the internal member defines a plurality of closed spaces moving from the first end opening to the second end opening. A fluid in the suction chamber is transported from the first end opening to the second end opening while confined within the spaces, and is then discharged into the discharge chamber. The discharge of the fluid is controlled by a valve mechanism.

    摘要: A new type of progressive cavity compressor is intended primarily for 3 to 10 ton vapor-cycle air conditioning systems. Major working section elements include a rotor, a stator, inlet ports, an outlet endplate, and outlet check valves. The helical rotor is driven in an eccentric orbital path inside the helical stator. In the preferred embodiment, the rotor and stator helices have varying (non-uniform) pitch in the working section. Rotor-stator running clearances are tight, to minimize leakage. Two outlet check valves regulate refrigerant discharge flow and pressure. Efficient compression is provided over a wide range of compression ratios, corresponding to a wide range of ambient temperatures in an air conditioning application. The invention can improve the energy efficiency of air conditioning systems, especially at off-design conditions.
