The controller is also configured to determine an adjusted current based on the detected amount of current and the estimated current. The controller is also configured to determine an estimate of the force applied to the outer disc based on the adjusted current.

    摘要: In some examples, a brake wear measurement system includes an emitter configured to emit a signal and a passive powered sensor system including a controller and a sensor configured to sense the signal emitted by the emitter. The emitter and the sensor of the sensor system are mounted on the brake assembly such as the emitter and the sensor may be configured to move relative to each other as the brake disc stack wears. Thus, a characteristic of the signal emitted by the emitter and sensed by the sensor may change as a function of the brake disc stack wear. The brake wear measurement may further include a processor configured to receive the output generated by the sensor and determine, based on the output, an amount of wear of the brake disc stack assembly.

The monitoring method comprising the steps of: determining a value representative of a power supply current of a motor (11) during an off-load operating phase of the electromechanical actuator (1); comparing the value representative of the power supply current with a predetermined current threshold defined from nominal off-load operating characteristics of the electromechanical actuator (1); and detecting an accidental locking of the blocking member (12) when the value representative of the power supply current is above or equal to the predetermined current threshold. There also is an electromechanical actuator (1) comprising a blocking member (12) monitored by such a method.

The running-torque stack up assembly (140) may be implemented in a modular approach (500, 700) independent of a shaft (130) and switch housing, or may be implemented to incorporate the shaft (100) and switch housing. The running-torque stack up assembly (140) is formed of a spring (114), a stationary disk (112), and a rotating disk (108) having sliding top and bottom surfaces provided through either pads (106, 110) or an overmolded coating (710).
