摘要: A gear-shift mechanism for a power transmission unit includes a fork shaft slidably supported from a housing assembly to be selectively shifted from its neutral position to forward and reverse positions, a detent mechanism for selectively retaining the fork shaft in its neutral and shifted positions, a shift head member slidable on the fork shaft, a one-way engagement mechanism for effecting engagement of the shift head member with the fork shaft in axial movement of the fork shaft to and away from its reverse position, and a shift arm member pivoted to the inner wall structure of the housing assembly and linked with the shift head member to retain an idler gear in its neutral position and to engage the same with driving and driven gears. The shift arm member is formed with first and second cam faces, and a spring loaded cam follower is assembled within the inner wall structure to be in engagement with the first cam face of the shift arm member to effect disengagement of the idler gear from the driving and driven gears and to be in engagement with the second cam face of the shift arm member to effect engagement of the idler gear with the driving and driven gears.

摘要: Shift control apparatus for a multiple speed sliding gear manual transmission is characterized by the provision of a main shift rail which is rotatable for crossover selection and axially slidable for engagement of the selected gear. An auxiliary shift rail is axially slidable for engagement of an auxiliary gear and a reverse idler gear is axially slidable for engagement of reverse. Linkage is provided for sliding the auxiliary shift rail in one direction upon axial sliding movement of the main shift rail in a first direction and for sliding the reverse idler gear in the same one direction upon axial sliding movement of the main shift rail in a second direction. The linkage prevents inadvertent sliding movement of the reverse idler gear. There is also provided an inhibiting device for preventing engagement of reverse inadvertently.

摘要: A shift control mechanism particularly adapted for use with a manual transmission having a main control shaft on an axis normal to a single shift fork rail. Both rotational and longitudinal motion is transferred from the main control shaft to the shift fork rail through a single pivoted idler lever. A pair of shift forks and a reverse gear transfer bar are connected to an interlock system which insures that the shift fork rail establishes only one gear ratio at any time as it is rotated for crossover selection and moved longitudinally for gear engagement.

摘要: A gear shift device for transmissions, comprising a plurality of gear shift rods provided with connecting members and clutch-actuating shift forks, the rods being arranged in parallel with one another and mounted to be movable in the lengthwise direction thereof, and a gear shift shaft provided with fingers engageable with the connecting members, the gear shift shaft being disposed at right angles to the gear shift rods and rotationally and axially movable around and along an axis thereof, the gear shift rods consisting of a plurality of groups of rods disposed in a plurality of positions which are spaced from each other along the axis of the gear shift shaft, the fingers being fixed to a plurality of spaced portions of the gear shift shaft so as to be opposed to the groups of gear shift rods.

摘要: Stepped-ratio gearing for motor vehicles incorporates a simplified arrangement for the noiseless engagement of reverse ratio, by the use of a synchronizing arrangement for one of the forward ratios.For this purpose a motion-transmitting member is connected to a shift member (for example a shift fork) and/or to a selector shaft and is effective during movement of this shift member and/or selector shaft to act upon a shift fork for a synchronized forward ratio to effect a movement of the shift fork to provide pre-synchronization, with braking of rotating elements of the stepped-ratio gearing for engagement of the reverse ratio, and thereby noiseless engagement of the reverse ratio.

On a predetermined shift lug of the plurality of the shift lugs, a second claw portion is provided in such a manner as to project from one of the first claw portions in the selecting direction so that, in a shifting position, the second claw portion accommodates a displacement of the shift member from the adjacent shift lug side in the selecting direction, and the second claw portion is brought into abutment with the shift member in association with the shift member being displacement from the displacement accommodated state in the shifting direction so as to cause the corresponding shift fork to move from the shifting position to a neutral position.
