摘要: A flow control device includes a housing with an inlet and an outlet and a flow conduit disposed in the housing. The inlet, the flow conduit, and the outlet define a flow passage. A valve seat is disposed in the housing downstream of the inlet, and a shuttle is movably disposed in the housing and displaceable between a closed position engaging the valve seat to close the flow passage and an open position spaced from the valve seat to open the flow passage. A sealed chamber is defined between the housing and the flow conduit. A port coupled with a source of pressurized fluid communicates with the sealed chamber, where the shuttle is displaceable between the closed position and the open position based on a pressure in the sealed chamber. The threshold water pressure for displacing the flow conduit may be adjustable by modifying the pressure in the sealed chamber.

摘要: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for providing feedback for reduced-pressure therapy are described. A regulator can include a supply chamber fluidly coupled to a dressing, a control chamber fluidly coupled to the dressing, a charging chamber fluidly coupled to the supply chamber through a port, and a regulator valve operable to control fluid communication through the port based on a pressure differential between the control chamber and a target pressure. The feedback system can include a printed circuit board, a pressure sensor and a signal interface communicatively coupled to the printed circuit board. The pressure sensor can be fluidly coupled to the control chamber to determine the pressure in the control chamber. The signal interface can indicate a state of the reduced-pressure therapy. A potential source can be communicatively coupled to the printed circuit board, the pressure sensor, and the indicator.

摘要: A dispenser having a base unit with an actuation mechanism for dispensing liquid and a refill unit insertable into the base in an inverted configuration with its outlet lowermost to supply liquid to the base. The refill comprises an annular wall projecting into the base and defining an outlet from the refill. The annular wall is closable by a valve element. The base comprises a hollow spigot and an annular seal surrounding and spaced from the spigot whereby insertion of the refill into the base causes the spigot to enter the annular wall and lift the valve element from the annular wall to define a flow path from the refill to the spigot. The base also comprises a proximity sensor and an inclination sensor each of which may independently or jointly trigger the actuation mechanism causing the device to operate to deliver one or more doses of liquid from the dispenser.

摘要: A back pressure regulating valve includes a valve body having a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, a central bore, a bonnet housing a load spring operatively coupled to a diaphragm, and a chamber in flow communication with the fluid inlet. A valve cartridge includes a housing sized to fit within the central bore and including a first portion, a second portion, a valve guide, and a flow passage. A valve seat is disposed in the housing, and a valve plug is shiftable between an open position permitting flow and a closed position preventing flow. The valve plug engages a valve guide, and a spring biases the valve plug toward the open position. A retainer is disposed adjacent the first portion of the housing and engages a portion of the valve plug to retain the valve plug in the housing.

摘要: A first check valve has a narrow flow path portion (68) formed between an arcuate portion (46) of the outer periphery (45) of a support member and a second enlarged-diameter portion (11) of a casing. The narrow flow path portion (first portion of an intermediate flow path) is in fluidic communication with a back-pressure chamber (50) defined in the support member at the rear of the top of a valving element through a communicating passage (67) including a gap (66) between the outer periphery of the valving element and the inner periphery of a large-diameter portion (38) and grooves (27) on the rear surface of the top of the valving element. Thus, a low static pressure of fluid flowing through the narrow flow path portion is introduced into the back-pressure chamber to move the valving element by a large differential pressure during the supply of fluid, thereby allowing the valve opening to become larger than in the conventional apparatus and enabling a reduction of pressure losses. An intermediate chamber has a pressure chamber (130) defined therein by using a rigid partition. A high-pressure chamber (131) of the pressure chamber is in communication with the upstream side of the first check valve, and a low-pressure chamber (132) thereof is in communication with the narrow flow path portion. Thus, a valving element (136) is acted upon by a force larger than the differential pressure between the upstream side and an internal flow path (106) of the intermediate chamber, thereby allowing a relief valve (135) to be surely kept closed.

摘要: A remotely operable pressure regulator and shutoff valve particularly suited for achieving high resolution and flow control, and positive shutoff. The valve is characterized by a spring-loaded ball coaxially aligned with a fluid port to be sealed, a spring-loaded pintle extended through the port into engagement with the ball, for controlling the position thereof, a spring-loaded diaphragm for controlling the position of the pintle, and an axially displaceable spring supported by a movable stop which, in turn, is repositioned by a selectively operable stepper motor. Thus, the pressure-response characteristics for the valve readily can be varied through a selective repositioning of the stop.
