摘要: A slam shut safety device includes a valve body, a valve disc, a reset pin, and a reset pin guide. The valve disc is disposed within the valve body and shiftable along a slam shut axis between an open position and a closed second position. The reset pin is operatively coupled to the valve disc and shiftable along the slam shut axis relative to the valve body between an untripped position placing the valve disc in the open position and a tripped position placing the valve disc in the closed position. The reset pin guide supports one end of the reset pin, thereby providing added structural integrity to the reset pin and valve disc.

摘要: A pressure isolation device for a pipeline system is described. The pressure isolation device changes from an open position to a closed position when the pressure of a fluid flowing through the device exceeds a predetermined threshold pressure. In some embodiments, the pressure isolation device comprises a housing having an internal chamber, a main inlet, and a main outlet. An elongated member is disposed within the internal chamber between the main inlet and main outlet, and is biased towards the open position. As fluid pressure increases, the elongated member is pushed to the closed position and a portion of the elongated member blocks the fluid pathway from the main inlet to the main outlet. The pressure isolation device provides a simple mechanical solution to protecting and isolating downstream pipeline components from over-pressurization.

摘要: An automatic vent valve and method for use is provided equalizing the pressure in at least two lines. A housing has a first piston that compresses a bias device when the second pressure source supplies sufficient pressure. Upon a sufficient reduction in pressure the first piston releases a second internally held coaxial piston to allow fluid to flow from a first pressure source towards a second pressure source, thereby equalizing the pressure between the two pressure sources.

摘要: A gas regulator includes an actuator, a regulator valve, and pressure loading device. The pressure loading device provides a pressure load to a surface of a diaphragm of the actuator to act against a downstream pressure being applied to the opposite surface of the diaphragm and being controlled by the regulator. As the downstream pressure varies and the diaphragm displaces to move a control element to regulate the downstream pressure, the pressure loading device maintains a specified load pressure. The regulator may further include a balanced trim applying a balancing force to offset a force of an upstream pressure on the control element.

摘要: The present invention provides an integral cantilever monitoring device for a regulator having a positionable vent port that may be disposed proximate the lowest point of the monitoring device to allow drainage of liquids accumulating within the monitoring device due to humidity and precipitation. The monitoring device may also include a connection module allowing the monitoring device to be rotated independently of the actuator and valve body of the regulator to accommodate varying installation environments. The connection module may further include an inlet port for connection to a downstream pressure feedback line when the regulator valve body and connection module portions of a primary downstream pressure feedback passage are out of alignment due to rotation of the monitoring device.

摘要: A fluid valve (10) that interrupts the flow of fluid when backpressure ceases. The valve (10) consists of a valve body (20) having an inlet (22), an outlet (24), a piston chamber (32), and a backpressure port (34). The port (34) is located between the outlet (24) and the chamber (32), and a stem bore (36) is disposed within the valve body (20) between the chamber (32), and the inlet (22) and the outlet (24). A piston (40) that includes a restricting stem (42), is confined within the chamber (32) and the stem (42) is positioned within the stem bore (36). The stem (42) restricts fluid flow when there is no backpressure, but when backpressure exists the stem (42) is forced away from the inlet (22) and the outlet (24) by the piston (40) thereby permitting a full flow through the valve (10). An adjustable compression spring (68) engages the piston (40) urging the stem (42) into the stem bore (36) when no backpressure exists. The valve (10) automatically restores full fluid flow when sufficient fluid backpressure is re-established.

摘要: A protection device which is capable of cutting off a pipeline when the pipeline leaks due to the rupture of the pipe self-operatedly closes the pipeline using fluid kinetic energy. A control rod converts linear movement of a piston into the opening and closing movement of a main valve core. The piston separates a hydraulic cylinder chamber into a first chamber and a second chamber. A restoring spring in the first chamber restores a control piston to an initial position. A control valve in the second chamber controls discharge of fluid from the second chamber. A flow state-sensing device introduces fluid in the fluid pipe to the second chamber when the fluid pipe ruptures and leaks.
