    摘要: A fluid conducting connector for use in water connections particularly water heater connectors. The connector assembly is designed for mating connection to a galvanized nipple for reduction of galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metal connections. An insulator assembly is seated within the connector to maintain separation between the galvanized nipple and the copper tube of the assembly. The connector assembly includes an internally threaded female connector mounted to the copper tube for connection to the nipple. The insulator assembly includes a tubular sleeve and a sealing washer. The sleeve extends partially into the copper tube while the washer seats within the female connector to seal the connector.

    摘要: A corrosion-resistant, quick disconnecting coupling assembly for piping use consisting of a female coupling and a male coupling for causing or stopping the conduction of a fluid by connection or disconnection between both is provided. The female coupling and the male coupling comprise each an exterior coupling body, a cylindrical valve member mounted in the body so as to form an annular closed chamber enclosed by the former two, which member has therethrough communicating transverse and longitudinal holes as a flow path of the fluid and a spring housed in the chamber so as to be compressible or extensible. The valve member is wholly or partially slidable. The one valve member may consist of a fixed valve and a slidable valve sleeve and the other valve member may be a slidable poppet valve. Each of the valve members may be a poppet valve which is slidable. O-rings are incorporated to avoid leakage of fluid to the spring chambers and to ensure a leak-tight seal of the fit portions of both the couplings upon connection. The female and male bodies and the female and male valve members are made of a synthetic plastic, preferably a fluoroplastic, the O-rings of the female and male couplings are made of a synthetic rubber, preferably a fluororubber, and the female and male springs are coated with a synthetic plastic, preferably a fluoroplastic.

    摘要: An improved corrosion resistant seal for compression coupling devices includes threadably engageable male and female coupling members. Each of said respective coupling members has an insulating, moisture resistant, resilient, polymeric coating, such as a polyvinylchloride coating bonded to the metal substrate. Both male and female coupling member coatings terminate in respective annular resilient flange portions. Each of the annular flange portions extends radially of its respective coupling member in a manner whereby threadably engaging and advancing male and female members results in contact of the respective flange portions providing an effective moisture seal therebetween and an effective insulating coupling that prevents galvanic and chemical corrosion thereof. A further embodiment of the improved corrosion resistant seal for compression couplings includes a male coupling member coating continued beyond the adjacent resilient flange portion and terminating in a threaded portion adjacent the matching threads of the male coupling member. The male coupling member completely engages the female coupling member when all the threads of the female coupling extend over all the threads of the male coupling member and engage the threaded portion of the male coupling member coating. An effective moisture seal is first provided by the contact of the respective resilient flanges of the male and female coupling members when the threaded portion of the female member initially engages the threaded portion of the male member.
