    摘要: On example provides a containment sleeve for a pressurized piping system including a main body comprising a pliable fabric extending in longitudinal and transverse directions. The main body includes an exterior major surface and an opposing interior major surface, first and second opposed transverse edges, first and second opposed longitudinal edges, and a number of pleats extending from the interior major surface, each pleat having opposing sides of the longitudinal pleat being sewn together with breakaway stitching at a base of the pleat at the interior major surface. A number of transversely extending straps disposed on the exterior major surface between the first and second longitudinal edges, the straps to secure the main body about a portion of the piping system with the interior major surface facing the piping system.

    摘要: An assembly and a method for reinforcing or repairing one or more segments of an existing pipeline, without taking the pipeline out of service and without the need for disassembling the existing pipeline segments that are to be repaired. The assembly incorporates a metallic reinforcement pipe, a front seal ring, a rear seal ring, a front seal ring retention assembly, a rear seal ring retention assembly, and a self-hardening medium receiver. The reinforcement pipe and the seal rings create an annular space between the respective ends of the reinforcement pipe and the external surface of the existing pipeline. The seal rings, seal ring retention assemblies, and the flexible reinforcement pipe, accommodate out-of-round and joint angular displacement conditions of the existing pipeline. A self-hardening medium is injected into the annular space and pressure is maintained on the medium until the medium has set.

    摘要: Fluid conveying pipes and processes of forming such pipes using friction stir welding. The fluid conveying pipes are formed from a pipe section that includes a first barrel coaxially and concentrically disposed within a second barrel. The first barrel and the second barrel are each formed from one or more sections or plates where longitudinal extending facing edges of the plates are friction stir welded (FSW) together along a seam(s) that extends longitudinally from the first end to the second end thereof. A plurality of the pipe sections can be connected together end to end using circumferential FSW seams to form a pipe.

    摘要: Disclosed are a double water pipe manufactured via hydroforming and a method of manufacturing the same via hydroforming. The method includes (a) inserting an inner pipe into an outer pipe made of steel, the inner pipe being made of a corrosion resistant material selected from among stainless steel, titanium and aluminum, and having a smaller outer diameter than an inner diameter of the outer pipe; (b) placing the outer pipe on a die unit and sealing opposite ends of the die unit with sealing members each having a through-hole connected to a fluid supply unit for supplying a fluid to the inner pipe; (c) supplying the fluid to the inner pipe to perform plastic expansion of the inner pipe and elastic expansion of the outer pipe; and (d) discharging the fluid from the inner pipe to allow frictional coupling between the inner pipe and the outer pipe through elastic restoration of the outer pipe.

    摘要: The offshore drilling system comprises a floating drilling vessel 1, a well drilled in the sea bottom 2, a tubular riser extending the well up to the floating vessel, well sealing elements fastened to the end of the riser at the level of floating vessel 1. The riser comprises tubular elements 12 connected to one another by connectors 13 designed to withstand the internal pressure of the well. Tubulars 12 comprise a metallic tubular body hooped by windings of fibers coated with a polymer matrix. The riser comprises several sections, each section consisting of tube elements whose hoop stress is determined as a function of the depth at which the section lies and of the mechanical strength of said metallic tubular body.
