摘要: The present invention relates to a light assembly for a vehicle comprising: a housing; a lens covering the housing; a plurality of light sources arranged in the housing; wherein the plurality of light sources comprises at least one first light source, at least one second light source and at least one third light source; and a reflector body mounted in the housing; wherein the reflector body comprises a reflector element and different zones for each of the at least one light sources; wherein light emitted by the at least one first light source is captured by the reflector element which reflects the light towards the lens, the lens directing the light generally downward towards the ground area when the light assembly is attached to the vehicle, light emitted by the at least one second light source is passed through an aperture in the reflector body without reflection of the emitted light, and light emitted from the at least one third light source is captured by the reflector body which reflects and directs the light, in particular, horizontally towards the lens, with the lens in particular directing the light generally horizontal, and a light collector is located between the reflector body and the housing; wherein the light collector captures and transmits the light emitted from at least one of the at least one light sources, a rear view device and a vehicle with at least one light assembly.

摘要: A light guide has an elongated body that includes an entrance face at which light is admitted into the light guide and an exit face at which the light emanates from the light guide. The light guide has an inboard side wall and an outboard side wall extending between the entrance face and the exit face. The entrance face, the exit face, the inboard side wall and the outboard side wall enclose a medium containing a colorant by which the medium meets a color criterion while minimizing light absorption at a wavelength of the light.

摘要: A vehicle light assembly includes a lens unit, a lens cover, a heat dissipation seat, a clamp and a plurality of fasteners. The lens cover is connected to the lens unit. The heat dissipation seat is disposed rearward of the lens unit and the lens cover. The clamp is connected to a front side of the heat dissipation seat and defines a clamping space receiving the lens unit and the lens cover. The clamp clamps tightly the lens cover against the lens unit. The fasteners are threaded forwardly into the lens cover from a rear side of the dissipation seat.

The wavelength conversion member includes a first region irradiated with the excitation light and radiates, from the first region, converted light having a wavelength different from that of the excitation light. The retroreflective optical member reflects the converted light toward the first region. The first region is a region that is a part of the wavelength conversion member.

摘要: A multifunction lighthead for mounting to a vehicle includes several groups of LEDs arranged to provide distinct light emission patterns. Each group of LEDs and associated optics are selected and positioned to produce light emission patterns needed to meet lighting standards applicable to the vehicle. Such standards may require wide angle light emission, which is enhanced by supporting groups of LEDs that project away from the vehicle body, enhancing visibility of the lighthead from directions close to a plane defined by the body panel. The projecting support for the LEDs and optics for a wide angle light emission pattern may be employed to support LEDs arranged for ground illumination. Other groups of LEDs in the same lighthead may be arranged with optics to provide area illumination in support of arrest, search, triage or other emergency functions.

摘要: A vehicle lighting unit can prevent the appearance from deteriorating due to darkened portion even when a light guiding member is disposed in an area where the light guiding member cannot be seen from outside. The vehicle lighting unit can include a light source, and a light guiding member having a light guiding main body and configured to receive light emitted from the light source and guide the light while reflecting the light so that the light exits through the light guiding member, which are contained in a lighting chamber defined by a housing and an outer lens covering the opening of the housing. The light guiding member can include a fin-shaped light emitting portion extending from the light guiding main body and disposed in an area corresponding to an angular range through which the light guiding main body of the light guiding member cannot be seen directly from outside.
