    摘要: A column-conditioning enclosure includes a column chamber adapted to hold one or more chromatography separation columns. A duct system provides an airflow path around the column chamber such that the one or more chromatography separation columns held within the column chamber are isolated from the airflow path. An air mover disposed in the airflow path generates a flow of air within the duct system. A heat exchanger system disposed in the airflow path near the air to exchange heat with the air as the air flows past the heat exchanger system. The air circulates through the duct system around the column chamber, convectively exchanging heat with the column chamber to produce a thermally conditioned environment for the one or more chromatography separation columns held within the column chamber.

    摘要: An explosion proof forced air electric heater is designed to supply heat to hazardous areas where the atmosphere contains readily combustible gases, vapors or dust particles. The heater employs an air mover which forces air through a metal heat sink with strategically placed electric heating elements. The terminal ends of the heating elements extend into a sealed and encapsulated explosion proof containment chamber which is connected to a centralized explosion proof enclosure. The explosion proof enclosure contains the control features and the electrical connections of the heater along with external accessories. The heating cycle is controlled via an electronic control circuit. The electronic circuit controls the process heating temperature, air mover operation, heating element operation, temperature measuring device operation, and monitors the total operation time of the heating elements while providing process failure feed back to the operator.

A burner is coupled to the burner input port, whereby heat is generated within the combustion chamber. A heat exchanger is provided having an inlet and an outlet. The inlet is coupled to the heat output port of the combustion chamber. The heat exchanger consists of two hollow corrugated cones secured in base to base relation with opposed apexes. This form of heat exchanger is capable of withstanding high temperatures when directly coupled with the combustion chamber and serves to make any combustion heater with which it is coupled more efficient.

    摘要: An electric heater, particularly adapted for supplying heat to hazardous areas where the atmosphere in the area contains particles or fumes that are readily ignited. The heater includes one or more heat radiating members, each cast about a sheathed electric heating element. The terminal ends of the heating element extend into a sealed explosion-proof terminal box. The heat radiating members are serially disposed in a tubular casing, and a motor-operated fan blows air through the casing and over the members, the air being heated as it flows over the heat radiating members.Each member is in the form of an annular hub having integral, heat-dissipating fins extending radially thereof. The outer surface of the hub is formed with a contour that is angled or curved in the direction of the air flow, and such contour is constructed and arranged to provide a Venturi effect to draw air from the inner portion of the hub to the outer periphery and thus prevent build-up of excessive heat at the inner portion.
