    摘要: An apparatus for cooling a containerized fluid apparatus has a refrigerant-delivery assembly axially depending from a handle assembly. The handle assembly forms a receptacle for receiving a canister of refrigerant such as pressurized liquid carbon dioxide (CO2). The refrigerant-delivery assembly comprises a supply tube through which refrigerant is fed from the canister in the handle assembly to a refrigerant-containment compartment enclosing an exit port of the supply tube and entry ports of one or more expansion tubes. The refrigerant-containment compartment places the supply tube in fluid-flow communication with the expansion tubes. The expansion tubes are rotatable about the axis of the supply tube. The expansion tubes are made to rotate by either a nozzle-turbine feature or a motor-and-gear subassembly. As refrigerant expands in the expansion tubes it takes on heat in accordance with thermodynamic properties thereby cooling the containerized fluid.

    摘要: A compact, mobile communicating carrying case for the transport and storage of temperature-sensitive materials. The carrying case regulates to preset cryogenic temperatures without external input. Cryogenic temperature control is provided by use of a liquid nitrogen cooling system. A microprocessor-controlled double function solenoid, temperature sensors, and several mechanical one way release valves regulate the cooling system. Peripheral integrated modules collect, send, receive and display information such as location, core temperature, and the nature of the enclosed material. The carrying case provides a compact laser-etched working area, in addition to a set of basic surgical instruments, needed for procedures using biological materials.

A self-cooling beverage container includes a container body having an openable portion, a pressure vessel substantially housed within said container body, the pressure vessel having a first chamber for containing a refrigerant, an actuation valve configurable from a closed configuration wherein the refrigerant is maintained within the pressure vessel to an open configuration wherein said refrigerant is allowed to expand and exit the pressure vessel upon opening of said container whereby refrigerant expansion and flow through said outlet conduit cools the contents of said container.

    摘要: The invention is directed to a low-temperature cooler using dry ice as a cooling agent. The cooler has two compartments, one for the dry ice and one for chilled storage. The cooler self-regulates via an aqueous filled temperature-regulating valve to maintain a desired temperature in the storage compartment such that the products stored therein are stored at an optimum temperature. Upon achieving a predetermined temperature in the storage compartment, the valve closes, thereby maintaining the predetermined temperature in the storage compartment.
