    摘要: A sample processing apparatus for performing a process including a plurality of steps on a sample, the sample processing apparatus sequentially processing a plurality of samples, is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a plurality of units corresponding to the respective steps in the process; a transfer section which transfers a sample to the units according to a flow of the steps; and a controller. Specifically, when an operation was not performed successfully, the controller interrupts the process for a sample that had not reached the location where the unsuccessful operation was performed while continuing the process for a sample that had already passed the location, retries the operation that was not performed successfully, and resumes the interrupted process when the retried operation has been performed successfully.

    摘要: A method for operating an analytical apparatus for determining concentration of an analyte, especially an oxidizable substance, in a sample liquid, comprises the steps of: placing the analytical apparatus in maintenance operation; operating a metering system, which includes a pump, especially a peristaltic pump, and a supply line, for metering single volume units of a sample liquid from a source via the supply line into a reactor, wherein there exists in the reactor a temperature, which is greater than the boiling temperature of the sample liquid, so that a volume unit of the sample liquid metered into the reactor transforms at least partially into the gas phase following entry into the reactor, especially due to heat transfer from contact with a surface within the reactor, especially directly after contact with the surface within the reactor, and wherein a carrier gas is flowing through the reactor; registering at least one measuring transducer signal for detection of the transforming of the volume unit of the sample liquid into the gas phase, and deriving, with application of the measuring transducer signal, a signal correlated with an instantaneous operating state of the metering system.

The automated analyzer includes a controller for confirming that there is no sample rack on the main conveyance line before the main conveyance line receives the sample rack from the rack supplying device. The controller controls operation of the main conveyance line so as to convey the sample rack received from the rack supplying device by the main conveyance line to a position corresponding to a specific one of the plurality of analysis units by which the sample rack is to be received without stopping.

    摘要: A specimen transportation system is configured from linear modules, turn modules, and connection modules, wherein adjacent modules are connected to one another, and the modules form multiple paths through which specimen racks outputted from one specimen output device are transported to multiple analysis devices. Each path is associated with a node signal indicating whether said path can be used for transportation, and a node signal sequence comprising multiple node signals of the paths is configured. In the specimen transportation system, the node signal sequence is transferred from the downstream side to the upstream side, and problems such as the detention of a specimen rank in the specimen transportation system are dealt with by using said node signal sequence.

    摘要: Disclosed is an automatic analyzer that is capable of executing a plurality of different measurement sequences in a sequential, parallel manner, has a check function for avoiding simultaneous mechanical equipment use and interference between the mechanical equipment, incorporates a plurality of different transport mechanism operation schemes for transporting a reaction vessel to the mechanical equipment, and minimizes a decrease in the throughput by choosing an appropriate transport mechanism operation scheme as needed.Before initiating a measurement sequence for a requested analytical test, the automatic analyzer checks for simultaneous use of the mechanical equipment. If it is judged that simultaneous mechanical equipment use would result, the automatic analyzer postpones the start of the requested analytical test. This makes it possible to avoid simultaneous mechanical equipment use and make a proper analysis. Further, the automatic analyzer incorporates a logic that initiates an analytical test irrelevant to simultaneous equipment use prior to the other analytical tests when a plurality of different analytical tests are requested. This makes it possible to make efficient analyses.
