摘要: Disclosed is an automatic analyzer that is capable of executing a plurality of different measurement sequences in a sequential, parallel manner, has a check function for avoiding simultaneous mechanical equipment use and interference between the mechanical equipment, incorporates a plurality of different transport mechanism operation schemes for transporting a reaction vessel to the mechanical equipment, and minimizes a decrease in the throughput by choosing an appropriate transport mechanism operation scheme as needed.Before initiating a measurement sequence for a requested analytical test, the automatic analyzer checks for simultaneous use of the mechanical equipment. If it is judged that simultaneous mechanical equipment use would result, the automatic analyzer postpones the start of the requested analytical test. This makes it possible to avoid simultaneous mechanical equipment use and make a proper analysis. Further, the automatic analyzer incorporates a logic that initiates an analytical test irrelevant to simultaneous equipment use prior to the other analytical tests when a plurality of different analytical tests are requested. This makes it possible to make efficient analyses.

When the reagent for inspecting liver function in one of the two analyzer units is to be short, analysis for the liver function analysis item to samples can be continued by transferring a sample rack from the rack providing portion to the other analyzer unit.

摘要: Waiting areas for allowing a plurality of sample racks to stop and wait are provided on by-pass line in each analysis unit. Sample racks introduced from ordinary sample inlet section or emergency sample inlet section, after waiting in the waiting area, are subjected to sample pipette operation by sample pipetting device. In the ordinary mode corresponding to ordinary sample processing, all of the stop positions of the waiting areas can be utilized, however, in the emergency mode corresponding to emergency sample processing, at least one or more of the stop positions of the waiting areas is prohibited to be used so as for the sample rack coming in to skip the stop position prohibited to be used.

摘要: In an analyzing apparatus of the present invention, sample racks, in each of which a plurality of sample containers are held, are transferred from a rack feeding unit to a discrimination unit for discriminating a type of each sample container. After the discrimination unit, a plurality of analyzing units are installed along a transfer line, and pipetters of different types are provided in the respective analyzing units. The discrimination unit detects information on the length and the width of each sample container held in each sample rack by using an optical detector. A control part selects one of the analyzing units, suitable for analyzing the sample container of which type was discriminated, based on the information detected by the discrimination unit, and transfers the sample container of which type was discriminated, to a sample pipetting position in the selected analyzing unit.
