摘要: A field device for determining a process variable is provided, the field device including: a sensor circuitry configured to sense a measured value of the process variable; a communication circuitry configured to transmit the measured value wirelessly to a receiver; a position determination circuitry configured to determine a geographic position of the field device; and a control circuitry configured to determine, as a function of a current geographical position of the field device, at least one of: (a) a current measurement rate at which the sensor circuitry acquires measured values of the process variable, and (b) a current data transmission rate at which the communication circuitry transmits measured values to the receiver. A method of operating a field device is also provided.

摘要: A sensor assembly includes a housing, a sensor, and a transmitter. A power supply is configured to power the sensor assembly. A light harvesting element is configured to convert incident light into electrical energy for replenishing the power stored by the power supply. A controller activates and deactivates the sensor in accordance with a first activation schedule. The controller monitors a power reserve parameter of the power supply. When the power reserve parameter drops below a first power reserve threshold, the controller alters the activation schedule to a second activation schedule for the sensor that reduces power consumption from the power supply. After the light harvesting element replenishes the power stored by the power supply above a second power reserve threshold, the controller alters the activation schedule to return to the first activation schedule.

摘要: Aspects of the disclosure relate to voice activity detection (VAD) on wearable and other resource-constrained devices, to classify speech recorded by a microphone of the device as belonging to a wearer of the device versus another speech source. A computing device can include a microphone and an inertial measurement unit (IMU). The wearable device can use signals measured by the IMU for providing motion-tracking features, such as head tracking for augmented reality or virtual reality applications. Aspects of the disclosure provide for a device for leveraging existing data collected for these motion-tracking features for use in VAD. A device can pre-process data streamed from an IMU to use only signals predetermined to be indicative of whether or not a wearer of the device is speaking.

摘要: A micro inertial measurement system includes a housing, a sensing module, and a damper. The sensing module includes a rigid sensing support, a measuring and controlling circuit board mounted on the rigid sensing support and an inertial sensor set on the measuring and controlling circuit board. The inertial sensor includes a gyroscope and an accelerometer. The sensing module is mounted in the housing. The damper is mounted in the housing and set in the gap between the sensing module and the inside wall of the housing. By use of the above-mentioned structure, the noise immunity of the inertial measuring system can be greatly improved, and the volume and weight of the inertial measuring system can be greatly reduced.

摘要: Improved sensing devices are provided for determining the spatial disposition of a movable object. In one aspect, an apparatus for determining a spatial disposition of a movable object comprises: a support base configured to be carried by a movable object; one or more accelerometers coupled to the support base via a first damping element configured to damp motion of the one or more accelerometers; and one or more gyroscopes coupled to the support base via a second damping element configured to damp motion of the one or more gyroscopes, wherein an amount of motion damping provided by the first damping element is greater than an amount of motion damping provided by the second damping element.
