摘要: The cost and power consumption of an imaging apparatus are reduced by facilitating detection of an incident angle of a light beam transmitted through a grating substrate. An image sensor converts an optical image captured by pixels arranged on an imaging surface and outputs the converted image signal. A modulator is configured to modulate intensity of light; and an image processing circuit performs image processing of the output image signal. The modulator has a grating substrate, a grating pattern formed on a back surface side of the grating substrate arranged in proximity to the light receiving surface of the image sensor; and a grating pattern formed on a front surface facing the back surface. Each of the grating patterns is constituted of a plurality of concentric circles. The modulator performs intensity modulation on the light transmitted through the grating pattern and outputs the modulated light to the image sensor.

摘要: Disclosed is a system and method for digitally scanning motion picture film with automatic recovery after a failed splice or break is repaired. The system includes a motion picture film digital scanner. Software executed on a processor either integrated within the motion picture film digital scanner or in an external computer communicating with the motion picture film digital scanner detects film breakage. When an operator signals that the splice repair operation is complete, the software directs the scanner to rewind the film by a pre-determined amount and resume scanning. The software automatically, and seamlessly, merges the scan sequences from before and after the splice repair operation.

摘要: A camera adaptor (19) is provided for connecting a camera (21) to an interface (13) of a medical-optical observation instrument (1) with a parallel beam path. The interface (13) is situated in the parallel beam path (9a, 9b) of the medical-optical observation instrument (1). The camera adaptor (19) has an instrument connector part (41) for connection to the interface (13) of the medical-optical observation instrument (1) and a camera connector part (43, 143) for connection to a camera (21). The beam path (43) runs through the camera adaptor (19) along a linear optical axis. The camera adaptor (19) has an objective-lenses combination (47) with a total focal length between 40 mm and 120 mm. A lens with a positive partial focal length leading on the instrument side in the objective-lenses combination (47) and is followed, on the side toward the camera, by a lens with a negative partial focal length.

摘要: An apparatus for attachment to a portable image capture and storage device. The apparatus includes an auxiliary lens and an elastic band coupled thereto. The auxiliary lens is shaped for image alteration of an image obtained by the portable image capture and storage device. The auxiliary lens characterized by an optical axis extending from a base of the lens to a crown of the lens. The elastic band extends, at least in part, in a lateral direction, substantially orthogonal to the optical axis, from the auxiliary lens. The elastic band in combination with the auxiliary lens forms a closed loop whereby the apparatus is removably attachable to a peripheral portion of the image capture and storage device to alter the appearance of the image obtained by the portable image capture and storage device.

摘要: A photographing apparatus includes the following elements. A photographing unit photographs an object. A position detecting unit detects the position of the photographing apparatus. A direction detecting unit detects the direction of the photographing apparatus when the object is photographed. An angle-of-view detecting unit detects the angle of view of the photographed image. A recommended-composition information obtaining unit obtains recommended-composition information including a recommended angle of view of the image photographed at the detected position and a recommended direction. An angle-of-view comparing unit compares the detected angle of view with the recommended angle of view. An angle-of-view adjusting unit adjusts the angle of view in accordance with the result of the comparison. A direction comparing unit compares the detected direction with the recommended direction. A presenting unit presents, in accordance with the result of the comparison, direction-change instruction information for instructing the direction of the photographing apparatus to be changed.
