    摘要: An image forming device capable of sufficiently removing paper dusts on a sheet thereby providing high quality image. A sheet transport path 38 is defined between a sheet supply section 7 provided with a separation pad 13 and a sheet supply roller 12 and an image forming section 5. Along the sheet supply section 7, at least a first paper dust removing roller 9b having a width slightly greater than the width of the separation pad 13 and a second paper dust removing roller 10b having a width slightly greater than the sheet width are disposed. Paper dusts generated upon friction against the separation pad 13 are removed by the first paper dust removing roller 9b, and paper dusts spreading over entire surface of the sheet are removed by the second paper dust removing roller 10b.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a casing 2 and a process cartridge 20, which is mounted removably in the casing. A powder retaining box 53 is supported pivotally by the bottom of the process cartridge 20, and supports a pinch roller 52 for contacting with a sheet of paper 3 to collect paper powder from it. The retaining box 53 has an opening through which the collected powder enters it. The pinch roller 52 substantially closes the box opening, and prevents the paper powder in the retaining box 53 from scattering out when the process cartridge 20 is dismounted from the casing 2. If the retaining box 53 were fixed to the process cartridge 20, and the pinch roller 52 moved relative to the retaining box when the process cartridge is dismounted, paper powder might scatter out of the retaining box.

    摘要: A cleaning methodology for cleaning a paper path surface upon which paper travels within a printing apparatus. The cleaning device is a flexible substrate sheet having a first side and a second side, with the first side coated preferably in its entirety with an exposed adhesive having a tack strength between about 0.0002 and about 0.12 pound force-square inch. The second side of the substrate sheet can have laminated thereto a foam resin to provide a flexible thickness that assures pressured contact with all paper path surfaces to be cleaned. A lint-free cloth layer can be laminated to the foam resin if present, or the cloth layer can be laminated directly to the second surface of the sheet substrate. Operability occurs as the substrate sheet is fed into the printing apparatus and travels there through along the paper-path surfaces upon which paper is conveyed. Of particular importance is the cleaning of rubber paper-feed rollers within printing equipment and whose surfaces can have accumulated thereupon paper powder, color pigment, dust, ink, toner, etc.

The vacuum ports are connected to a vacuum source that could operate continuously or intermittently at start-up or shutdown.

    摘要: A machine optics and paper path cleaner has a relatively stiff backing sheet and a cleaning sheet attached to the backing sheet at a position spaced from the leading edge. The cleaning sheet is folded, flocked or flapped, knitted or engraved with surface variations to aid in the cleaning of paper paths and optics. Wet cleaners are held in absorbent materials and in frangible or openable reservoirs to wet the cleaning material as it is drawn into the machine through the paper path and across the optics. The cleaners are made in single foam sheets of varied thickness and in laminated sheets of stiff backing material and flexible cleaning material.
