    摘要: A machine controller apparatus provides simple, effective, efficient and reliable control operation, facilitates repair and periodic maintenance and eliminates the need for either an operating manual or a service manual for the machine being controlled. The machine control apparatus includes a processor device for performing a plurality of predetermined control and logical operations. Memory is coupled to the processor means for storing predetermined machine characteristic data and a user input device is coupled to the processor device for receiving user input selections. The processor device is responsive to both the predetermined machine characteristic data stored by the memory and a received predefined one of the user input selections for performing at least one of the plurality of predetermined control and logical operations. A display device is coupled to the processor device for displaying a plurality of menu-specific user input selections responsive to the received predefined one of the user input selections.

    摘要: A plurality of medical electronic apparatae (A) including a CT scanner (B) or other medical imaging equipment are disposed at each of a plurality of remote locations. A diagnostic service system (C) monitors each CT scanner to create a malfunction history therefor. A central polling station (D) polls the diagnostic service system of each scanner to retrieve the diagnostic history thereof. The diagnostic service system includes a plurality of monitors (80, 82, 84, 86, 88) which monitor operating conditions and parameters of the scanner. The monitored operating conditions include the operating mode within the sequence of operating modes, operating parameters of an X-ray tube (12), and the operation of other scanner components. When a fault detection circuit (92) detects a malfunction, a latch array (90) immediately stores an indication of the condition monitored by the monitors. A read/write circuit (94) transfers the latched condition data to a malfunction history memory (96). Data from the malfunction history memory may be displayed on diagnostic service display (104) or transmitted by a modem (112) to the central polling station.

    摘要: A system for monitoring a variable output paper processing device is provided. The monitoring system includes a counter which counts the number of papers processed and provides a count signal for each paper counted. A controller receives the count signals and totals the counts. The controller includes an internal clock as well as an interrupt signal generator. Upon receipt of the count signal, the interrupt generator generates an interrupt signal starting the internal clock. The internal clock has a duration of a predetermined value larger than random noise signals. The controller compares the internal clock signal to the count signal and determines whether a valid count has occurred. The controller includes a CPU and RAM which are coupled by a PAL which isolates the RAM from the CPU when a voltage supplied to the CPU and PAL falls below a predetermined level.

    摘要: This invention is a computer-based engine-diagnostic method wherein there are provided lists of observable engine faults and causes for each observable engine fault. A user inputs one or more observed engine faults, and the software responds by displaying, in decreasing order by number of occurrences, causes which are common to two or more of the observed engine faults. Thus, the most probable causes for the observed engine faults appear at the head of the display. Additionally, once a probable cause is determined, the software is enabled to display other engine faults which should be observable, given the selected cause.
