    摘要: An improved viscous dampening arrangement for a taut-band suspension system in an electrical indicating instrument includes a hub associated with the stator and a turret associated with the rotor. The hub and turret each have central openings for receiving the taut-band. The hub and turret are arranged, in use, in a spaced-apart facing relationship with the facing portions of hub and turret being tapered in a controlled fashion. A viscous dampening fluid is provided between the hub and turret and an anti-wetting agent is applied to the surfaces of the hub and turret where the dampening fluid is not desired. The geometry of the tapers is chosen so as to minimize the effects of longitudinal and radial shocks and vibrations on the electrical indicating instrument.

One of the spiral springs has one end connected to the immovable member and the other end to the rotatable shaft. The other spiral spring has one end connected to the rotatable shaft and the other end to the rotatively movable member. The rotatably movable member serves as the point acting on the spiral springs. The two spiral springs are in a serial relationship, thus reducing the spring constant against rotation.

The axial position of the movable member is detected by the output of a detector which detects the distance between itself and the inclined surface. On the basis of the detected axial position and an objective position, the electromagnetic force generating mechanism is activated to set the axial position of the movable member.

    摘要: A damping system, more specially, for measuring and automatic control systems takes the form of mass of damping liquid placed between two parts which may be moved in relation to each other and which are to be damped. By the selection of the damping liquid, as for example a silicone oil, and of the form and size of the space between the two moving parts and, furthermore, of the properties of the two parts touched by the liquid, it is possible to make certain that the liquid is kept in place by surface tension effects, that is to say because of its own surface tension and the surface tension properties of the lining faces touched by it.The damping unit may take the form of two, more specially frusto-conical plates, able to be moved in relation to each other and of which one may undergo adjustment by using a threaded rod and a lock nut. Furthermore, as a further development of the invention, the damping liquid may be kept in an open-sided but otherwise pot-like space between an U-shaped female part and a male part, able to be moved vibratingly within it.As a still further development, the female part has a through-hole and the male part is placed within it. A larger or smaller amount of the damping liquid may then be forced by a piston into the space between the male and female parts.

    摘要: A hydraulic damping element for use with tripods adapted to have camera devices mounted thereon. The damping elements include interleafed annular disks, one set thereof being secured to a hub element and another set being secured to a member radially spaced from the hub. A fluid is received between the interleafed disks so that when acceleration-type forces are applied to either the hub or the radially spaced member, the shear forces on the fluid will resist the acceleration forces so that the overall movement of one relative to the other will be smooth and continuous.
