    摘要: A multiple-feed antenna system includes a primary reflector that directs signals along a primary RF signal path and a movable subreflector assembly. When the subreflector assembly is in a first position, a first subreflector element of the subreflector assembly redirects signals traveling along the primary RF signal path to a first RF signal path and a second subreflector element of the subreflector assembly does not intersect the primary RF signal path. When the subreflector assembly is in a second position, the second subreflector element redirects signals traveling along the primary RF signal path to a second RF signal path and the first subreflector element does not intersect the primary RF signal path. The antenna system includes a first feed of the antenna system intersects the first RF signal path, a second feed that intersects the second RF signal path, and an actuator that moves the subreflector assembly.

An embodiment in accordance with the present invention comprises a receive antenna, including at least one low noise block amplifier (LNB), and a module, coupled to and proximate the receive antenna, the module comprising a multiswitch, coupled to the LNB, for directing the satellite signals received by the LNB to a plurality of outputs of the multiswitch, a plurality of tuners, respectively coupled to the outputs of the multiswitch, for tuning to a plurality of specific portions of the satellite signals in a respective fashion, the specific portions of the satellite signals selected based on commands received from a plurality of receivers, and an interface for delivering the specific portions of the satellite signals to the plurality of receivers, wherein the specific portions of the satellite signals are combined into a single combined signal and delivered to the plurality of receivers on a single output of the interface.

    摘要: The invention relates to a reflector antenna for a synthetic aperture radar, having a reflector (20) which comprises a reflector surface (22), a vertex (26), and an optical axis (24) extending outwards therefrom. The reflector antenna also has a plurality of antenna elements (18) arranged side by side and in a row, for transmitting radar transmission signals and receiving radar reception signals produced from a reflection on a surface (14). The reflector (20) is designed as a one-dimensional defocused reflector (20) having two focal planes (40, 42). The optical axis (24) coincides with the line of inter-section (28) of two imaginary planes extending at right angles to one another, specifically a first (X-) plane (30) and a second (Y-) plane (32). The reflector (20) has, in the first (X-) plane (30), a first (X-) focal plane that extends at right angles thereto and to the optical axis (24), and, in the second (Y-) plane (32), a second (Y-) focal plane (42) which extends at right angles thereto and to the optical axis. The second (Y-) focal plane (42) is at a greater distance from the vertex than the first (X-) focal plane (40). When viewing the first (X-) plane (30) of the reflector (20), the antenna elements (18) are arranged side by side along an (X-) line (34) which extends in the first (X-) plane (30) at the height of the second (Y-) focal plane (42).

    摘要: An antenna system includes a reflector having a modified-paraboloid shape; and a multi-beam, multi-band feed array located at a focal point of the reflector so that the antenna system forms a multiple congruent beams that are contiguous. The system has a single reflector with non-frequency selective surface. The reflector is sized to produce a required beam size at K-band frequencies and is oversized at EHF-band frequencies. The synthesized reflector surface is moderately shaped and disproportionately broadens EHF-band and Ka-band beams compared to K-band beams. The synthesized reflector surface forms multiple beams each having a 0.5-degree diameter at K-band, Ka-band, and EHF band. The multi-beam, multi-band feed array includes a number of high-efficiency, multi-mode circular horns that operate in focused mode at K-band and defocused mode at Ka-band and EHF-band by employing “frequency-dependent” design for the horns.
