The first electrical conductor and the second electrical conductor each have an insulation layer and conductor cores which run in the respective insulation layer and form a conductor core strand. The first and the second electrical conductor each have a first coolant duct for cooling the respective conductor core strand from the inside, which first coolant duct is surrounded by the respective conductor cores. The first and the second electrical conductor each further have a second coolant duct for cooling the respective conductor core strand from the outside, which second coolant duct surrounds the respective conductor cores.

摘要: An electrical transmission cable is provided with low inductance properties capable of carrying high current loads with a more uniform heating or loss profile. The low inductance properties of the cable lead to lower current losses resulting in a cooler and more efficient operation of the cable even at higher alternating current (AC) frequencies. Higher current loads are accommodated by a plurality of conductor bundles configured as braided wire strands that are separated and joined into like conductors prior to termination. Equal lengths of the insulated wire strands within the conductor bundles contribute to uniform heating along the length of the inventive cable embodiments. Uniform operating temperature is manifest as more uniform current transmission across the various strands of an inventive cable. In addition, the more equal weave position for all the wire strands making up each braided wire bundle tends to induce cancellation of inductive effects.

摘要: An electrical connector forms electrical contact by tightening of a movable, electrically-conductive spiral around un-insulated wire or wires. The spiral coils around the wire multiple times and tightens on the wire(s) when either one or the other end, or both ends, of the spiral is/are rotated relative to the other. Various housing portions may be provided for connection to different portions of the spiral, to facilitate the tightening of the spiral and to cooperate with a latch/lock system to retain the spiral in tightened condition. Multiple spirals may be provided in one connector, including spirals that tighten around separate wires at opposite ends/side of the connector and/or in spiral ports extending transversely from a main spiral(s). Terminal ends or additional spiral units/ports may be connected to a given spiral, either permanently, semi-permanently, or detachably, for producing a wide variety of configurations and modular connection devices.

摘要: A hand-turnable welding cable connection includes a welding cable portion and a cooperable welding torch portion. The welding cable portion includes a receiver having an opening defined by an inner, generally cylindrical surface. A slit extends through the receiver. A fastener extends across the slit generally transverse to a longitudinal axis of the receiver and partially protrudes into the opening. The welding torch portion includes a tubular member having a generally cylindrical outer surface. A transverse, circumferentially extending groove is formed on the outer surface of the tubular member. The groove may extend generally 90 degrees around the outer surface. A flat portion is formed on the outer surface of the tubular member. The flat surface extends longitudinally from an end of the groove toward an end of the tubular member. The welding torch portion is insertable in the welding cable portion, and the fastener engages the groove.

摘要: A method of forming an electrical stimulation lead includes molding an electrically-nonconductive substrate over and between spaced-apart electrically-conductive contacts to form a multi-contact lead assembly. The contacts are disposed along a first face of the substrate with a first face of each of the contacts exposed along the first face of the substrate and an opposing second face of each of the contacts covered by material forming a second face of the substrate. The multi-contact lead assembly is coupled along a first end portion of a lead body with the first face of the multi-contact lead assembly conforming to a shape of an outer surface of the lead body, and with the multi-contact lead assembly wrapping around the outer surface of the lead body. Conductors extending along a length of the lead body are electrically coupled to each of the contacts of the multi-contact lead assembly.
