    摘要: Systems and method for synchronizing power generators with a power grid are provided. One system among various implementations includes a plurality of synchronization modules, wherein each synchronization module corresponds to one power generator. The synchronization modules are configured to output a control signal to adjust a frequency of the respective power generator to correspond with the frequency of the existing power grid. The system also includes a central controller in communication with the plurality of synchronization modules. The central controller is configured to determine a propagation delay with respect to each synchronization module. The propagation delay is a measure of time for a signal to propagate from the respective synchronization module to the central controller. The central controller is further configured to send a control signal to each synchronization module to control when each synchronization module connects the respective power generator to the existing power grid.

    摘要: A transmitting controller is connected to a powerline and on command places a reference signal and a series of signal pulses in the powerline at a series of signal timing positions related to zero voltage crossing points so that the signals pulses are substantially in the powerline temporal quiet zone. The receiving controller is connected to the powerline and has a filter circuit therein which filters away the powerline AC signal and noise to leave the reference and signal pulses. The signal pulses are compared to the position of starting reference pulses to determine in which signal timing position the pulses have occurred. Digital data is communicated over the powerline in accordance with the nature placement of the data pulses related to the reference pulse positions. The timing zone for transmission and signals is preferably about 500 to about 1000 microseconds away from zero voltage crossing.

    摘要: A transmitting controller is connected to an AC powerline and on command places a series of signal pulse in the powerline in a series of signal timing windows related to zero voltage crossing points so that the signal pulses are in the powerline temporal quiet zone.     摘要: A system for controlling the operation of a load circuit coupled to an AC power distribution circuit includes an encoder which may be mounted in a wall switch box and coupled to a single conductor of the AC power distribution circuit for imposing thereon control signals by lengthening the zero crossings of the AC voltage. A decoder, also connected to the AC power distribution circuit at a remote location, detects the lengthened zero crossings and closes an electronic switch for energizing the load circuit. The encoder may be disconnected from the AC power distribution circuit, in which case the load circuit may be controlled by an external condition responsive device, such as a passive IR sensor. Visible light-responsive means may be provided for disabling the IR sensor during the day. The load circuit and the decoder can be turned off from the encoder location.

    摘要: An arrangement for transferring both power and information on one or more common AC power lines in which a first type of information is transmitted by terminating the current from the power supply in periods which constitute a fraction of a halfwave cycle. The transmission of this first type of information is dependent upon the frequency of the AC power supply. There is correlated the comparison period to the course of the receiver-side alternating-current mains voltage before the mains voltage zero transition to be monitorerd. This system may be used in remote control technology using signal transmission on a power supply network.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for data transfer over existing or newly installed residential or commercial power lines is comprised of a transmitter and receiver unidirectionally communicating by phase cutting a portion of the received carrier voltage supply so as to receive a digital signal of low bandwidth. The resulting communication method is known as phase cut carrier, or PCC. The phase cut carrier communication method is shown to be able to addressably communicate lighting level commands for various types of lighting. In other embodiments, the phase cut carrier method may be used to control the powered status of addressably or nonaddressably controlled equipment.
