    摘要: This disclosure describes devices and methods related to multiplexing optical data signals. A method may be disclosed. The method may comprise receiving, by a dense wave division multiplexer (DWDM), one or more optical data signals. The method may comprise combining, by the DWDM, the one or more optical data signals. The method may comprise outputting, by the DWDM, the combined one or more optical data signals to a first circulator. The method may also comprise combining, by the WDM, the second optical data signal and one or more third signals, and outputting an egress optical data signal to an optical switch. The method may also comprise outputting, by the optical switch, the egress optical data signal on a primary fiber.

    摘要: An Ethernet access network system for inverse multiplexing can comprise a reconciliation sublayer (RS) transmitter and an RS receiver. The RS transmitter can be configured to retrieve an LLID from a data stream; determine bonded channel connections at an ONU corresponding to the LLID, wherein each bonded channel connection is coupled to a FIFO buffer of a plurality of FIFO buffers; route one or more packets of the data stream to a first FIFO buffer of the plurality of FIFO buffers in response to the first FIFO buffer having a lowest fill rate; and transmit the one or more packets across the bonded channel connections. The RS receiver can be configured to receive the one or more packets; and arrange the one or more packets in order based on a packet order indicator.

    摘要: A wavelength-division multiplexing optical communication system and a method for measuring optical performance of an output signal for the system. The optical communication system includes: a service-provider device; a local node; and a plurality of subscriber devices. The service-provider device includes: a plurality of first optical transceivers; a first optical multiplexer/demultiplexer (OD/OM) connected to the plurality of first optical transceivers; and a seed-light source providing seed light. Each subscriber device includes a second optical transceiver. The local node connects the service-provider device and the plurality of subscriber devices to each other using a DWDM link comprising: a second multiplexer/demultiplexer (OD/OM); and a single-mode optical fiber for transmission. Here, the optical intensity of an output signal of the second optical transceiver is determined by compensating for the value of the loss caused when the output signal passes through the second OD/OM of the local node.

    摘要: A system includes a multiplexer having a pass-band and an optical network unit (ONU) optically coupled to the multiplexer. The ONU includes a tunable laser configured to continuously transmit an optical signal to the multiplexer in a burst-on state and a burst-off state. While in the burst-on state, the ONU is configured to tune the tunable laser to transmit the optical signal at a transmit wavelength within the wavelength pass-band of the multiplexer. The multiplexer configured to allow passage therethrough of the optical signal at the transmit wavelength. While in the burst-off state, the ONU is configured to tune the tunable laser to transmit the optical signal at a non-transmit wavelength outside of the wavelength pass-band of the multiplexer. The multiplexer configured to block passage therethrough of the optical signal at the non-transmit wavelength.
