摘要: An apparatus can include a housing, a plunger configured to reciprocate along an axis within the housing, and an internal fluid chamber disposed in the housing. A valve, having a valve base and a deformable seal, can also be included in the apparatus. The apparatus can further include a seat having an aperture therein. The valve is configured to move into and out of contact with the seat when the plunger reciprocates within the housing, based upon a fluid pressure in the internal flow chamber. In addition, an outer diameter of the deformable seal of the valve is less than an outer diameter of the seat.

摘要: A valve body and seal assembly comprises at least one seal and a valve body that may include a frusto-conical valve body impact area (also referred to as a valve seat contact portion) for sealing against a valve seat. In one embodiment, the at least one seal may comprise a first and second seal sections that comprise first and second elastomers, respectively, and an intra-seal interface where the first seal section may contact the second seal section. The first seal section may comprise a first frusto-conical seal portion, and the second seal section may comprise a second frusto-conical seal portion, each for sealing against the valve seat. A method for making a valve body and seal assembly is also provided. First and second elastomers may be crosslinked. The intra-seal interface may be planar or non-planar (i.e., may comprise, e.g., a cylindrical portion and/or a frusto-conical portion).

In one aspect, the valve provides a housing with an inner surface and a passage, a flange within the housing which divides the housing into upstream and downstream portions, and extending around the inner surface, defining a valve seat and a valve aperture, a poppet positioned in the downstream portion, including a valve disk and a valve stem extending from the valve disk, the valve disk engaging the valve seat, being moveable, and being resiliently biased in the closed position against the valve seat to inhibit fluid flow in a first direction, and a guide removably mounted on the inner surface of the housing, the guide receiving the valve stem of the poppet valve as the poppet valve moves.

摘要: A gas lift valve that has a longitudinally extending tubular body having an inlet and an outlet, a flow path extending between the inlet and the outlet, and a flow tube located inside the body. The flow tube is translatable in the axial direction between at least a first and a second position. A venturi orifice located inside the body along the flow path. A seal part is located proximate to the outlet of the body. A flapper is connected with the body by way of a hinge part and the flapper has at least a first open position and a second closed position. The closed position is where the flapper contacts the seal thereby closing the flowpath and the second closed position is where the flapper does not contact the seal and does not close the flowpath.

摘要: A device and method are described for extending the life of check valves. An improved check valve having a double poppet and tapered guides is more robust, and a check valve protection device between the check valve and the environment into which fluid is injected protects the valve from a contaminating or corrosive environment. The check valve and check valve protection device are small and light weight to prevent vibration-induced failures. The check valve protection device preferably has an interior volume that fills quickly by relatively few cycles of the lubricant pump to reduce delay of lubricant to the injection point.

摘要: A valve apparatus that has a longitudinal axis therethrough comprises a valve seat member, a valve closure member, a fluid flow path, and a resilient valve insert member. The valve seat member comprises a hollow bore and a first frustoconical contact surface that has an inner perimeter and an outer perimeter. The valve closure member comprises a valve body and a second frustoconical contact surface that is adapted to seal against the first frustoconical contact surface in a strike face area. The valve closure member is movable along the longitudinal axis of the valve apparatus. The fluid flow path extends through the bore of the valve seat member and between the valve seat member and the valve closure member. This fluid flow path is closed when the second frustoconical contact surface is sealed against the first frustoconical contact surface. The resilient insert member is attached to the valve closure member. It has an inner perimeter and an outer perimeter, the inner perimeter being adjacent to the strike face area on the second frustoconical surface. The resilient insert member is offset and adapted to contact the first frustoconical contact surface and form a hydraulic seal therewith at the inner perimeter of the insert member, before the first frustoconical contact surface comes in contact with the second frustoconical surface as the valve closes. The offset of the insert member is greater at its outer perimeter than at its inner perimeter, and is greater at its outer perimeter than the diameter of the largest particle in any fluid to be pumped. The insert is deformable but substantially non-compressible and comprises a particle retaining means to accommodate solid particles that are trapped between the insert and the valve seat member when the valve closes. The particle retaining means has at least one cavity (void space) that is in fluid contact with the flow path for fluids between the valve seat member and valve closure member when the valve is open. The cavity has an opening in fluid contact with the flow path for fluids when the valve is open and is large enough to accommodate one or more solid particles within the interior of the cavity. The volume of the cavity contracts as the valve closes, whereby solid particles are screened from the fluid and retained within the cavity, and whereby clear fluid is forced out of the cavity into the flow path and directed inwardly toward the bore of the valve seat member through the gap between the first and second frustoconical contact surfaces.

摘要: A check valve (fluid on-off valve device) capable of attaining high sealability in either case where a differential pressure is high or low, comprises a valve body assembly (valve body) contacting and separating from a valve seat portion for communicating and blocking a fluid passage. The valve body assembly comprises a valve body, a low-pressure seal portion constituted out of soft material and a high-pressure seal portion constituted out of harder material than the low-pressure seal portion. In blocking a fluid passage, when a differential pressure between an upstream path and a downstream path in the fluid passage is relatively low, the low-pressure seal portion comes into close contact with a protrusion to block the fluid passage, while when the differential pressure is relatively high, the low-pressure seal portion is compressively deformed by the differential pressure and the high-pressure seal portion comes into close contact with the valve seat body, thus blocking the fluid passage.
