    摘要: A fluid flow control device includes a regulator for operating at high pressures and an integral bypass valve. The regulator and the bypass valve each include a control assembly that is movable between an open position and a closed position. The regulator and bypass valves are biased into the open positions and adapted to move into the closed positions when an operating pressure rises to above respective regulator and bypass set-point pressures. The bypass set-point pressure is lower than the regulator set-point pressure such that when the operating pressure rises above the bypass set-point pressure, the bypass valve automatically closes and allows the regulator to perform under normal operating conditions. So configured, the bypass valve is arranged to accommodate at least some of the fluid flow through the system until the operating pressure reaches the normal operating pressure, which is somewhere between the bypass and regulator set-point pressures.

The controller may have a linearly traversable switch such that the controller is primed to flush air bubbles out of the fluid system of the controller prior to administering fluidic medication to a patient. Moreover, the controller may have a plurality of valves which may be independently opened and closed by a caming surface. To close the valve, a first seal may be disposed between offset inlet and outlet to prevent fluid from flowing from the inlet to the outlet. To open the valve, the first seal is disposed on one side of both of the inlet and outlet. Fluid if permitted to flow from the inlet to the outlet.

The pressure of the fluid is measured within each enclosure. An estimated pressure within each zone is computed, as a function of the measured pressure in the enclosure and known characteristics of the conduit and the zone. For each zone, an inlet proportional valve and an outlet proportional valve of each enclosure is operated so as to control the input flow rate of the fluid into the respective enclosure and the output flow rate of the fluid out of the enclosure as a function of a pressure set point and the estimated pressure, thereby regulating pressure within the zone in accordance with the pressure set point.

    摘要: A water pressure regulator for a watering system of an animal house is provided with a water inlet member comprising a watering path and a flush path. The watering path is operably engaged by the regulating valve. The inlet member is manually movable relative to the housing, to position the watering path outlet relative to the regulating valve to prevent the regulating valve from engaging the inlet member, thereby placing the regulator in a flush mode. The flush path has a water exit into the regulator spaced from the watering path port, and hence is not engagable by the regulating valve. A flush valve is provided in the flush path, and is moveable between a closed position in which the regulator will operate in a drinking mode and an open position in which the regulator will be in a flush mode. An actuator is provided which is operated by a control system to allow for automatic flushing of the watering line according to a predetermined schedule. Hence, the regulator can be switched between an operating mode and a flushing mode either manually or automatically. The control system can also control the lighting system and water supplement system for the animal house; and the control of the watering system can be tied to the lighting and medicating systems.

Fluid at a high rate from a lower section to adjacent higher sections around the stop is permitted by a check valve which substantially prevents fluid flow in the opposite direction and a flow-limiting valve permits fluid flow at a low rate from the higher section to the lower section. The fluid pressure difference between the sections may be relieved by a relief valve if the difference exceeds a predetermined amount.

    摘要: A regulator including a movably, preferably hingedly, mounted member having a distal face, exposed to a reference pressure, and a frontal face, exposed to fluid passing through the regulator. Attached to the member is a structure that variably impedes fluid flowing through the regulator. The amount that this structure impedes the fluid flow varies as a function of the difference between the pressure of fluid on the frontal face of the member and the reference pressure. The impeder may be an integral part of the piston extending into the path of the fluid flowing through the regulator, or it may be a separate structure attached to the member. As the member moves in response to changes in pressure differential across the piston, each movable segment is displaced with respect to its corresponding fixed segment. As the corresponding segments are further displaced with respect to each other, the impedance to flow increases. A restoring force or torque exerts a force on the member so as to tend to lessen the resistance on the fluid flow, and so that when there is no flow through the passageway the resistance is relatively low. The member may be mounted at the top of the regulator in order to make the regulator easy to clean to clean and maintain. A dashpot may be included in the regulator so as to reduce high-frequency oscillations that may occur in a finely tuned regulator. The regulator may include a bypass channel that permits a portion of the flow to bypass the impeder. A variable throttle valve mounted in the bypass channel is used to adjust the effect of the bypass channel.

The speed of the flowmeters are controlled by a pair of braking motors and tachometers are provided in each to provide an output signal of their rotational speeds. A control circuit is connected to the system to regulate the speed of the flowmeters to insure that the total fuel flow coincides with a reference value. Should a malfunction occur in one of the flowmeter systems, the control circuit may regulate the speed of the remaining flowmeter to retain the total fuel flow at the reference value.

    摘要: A combination pressure regulating and flow control valve having a first fluid passage interconnecting an upstream port and a downstream port. An adjustable pressure regulating valve is mounted in the first fluid passage to provide a reduced pressure at the downstream port. An adjustable flow control valve is mounted in said first fluid passage for selective provision of either a meter in or meter out action on fluid flowing through said first fluid passage. In parallel with said flow control valve is a spring biased check valve for selective provision of free flow in a direction opposite to the metering action of the flow control valve. A parallel second fluid passage in the valve interconnects the upstream port with the downstream port. Mounted in the second fluid passage is an adjustable, spring loaded pre-exhaust valve which is vented to the upstream port. When a meter out flow takes place from the downstream port through said first fluid passage to the upstream port the pre-exhaust valve is set to allow flow through the parallel second fluid passage until a pre-set pressure at the downstream port is reached and then it closes against flow.
