摘要: The present invention is directed to a chest pad that significantly reduces the occurrence of commotio cordis among athletes. The chest pad may be utilized as a stand-alone chest protector intended to provide coverage primarily for the upper chest wall and the cardiac area. The chest pad may also be implanted into or utilized in traditional chest protectors that provide full coverage of the user's torso. The chest pad of the present invention provides additional protection to the heart of the wearer such that impact in the heart area with a projectile is absorbed by the chest pad.

摘要: A body impact protection system includes an inner layer and an impact force dampening and defusing structure. The inner layer includes a material composition and is adjacent to a body part when the body impact protection system is worn. The impact force dampening and defusing structure is juxtaposed to the inner layer and includes a plurality of components. The components function to reduce pressure on the body part from an impact force on a layer by layer basis. Each layer of the system dampens and defuses the impact force such that, by the time it reaches the body part, it has been substantially attenuated and spread over a large area.

摘要: The invention relates to personal injury protection means for protecting, for example, the neck, which can be used in sports such as football, hockey, basketball, handball, rugby, etc. The invention is directed toward increasing the level of protection against impact injuries and improving thermoregulation of the human body. This is achieved by virtue of a flexible structural element (1), and a guard (2) for protecting the back of the neck, these being made of a polymeric material capable of absorbing and dissipating impact energy, in the form of a strip in the form of a collar. The structural element consists of a centre portion (8) and two side portions (9).
