Abstract: A disposable absorbent pant having an elasticized belt structure including the stretch laminate is disclosed. The stretch laminate may include a first layer; a second layer; and an elastic member disposed between the first layer and the second layer. The first layer may include a nonwoven web material bearing a pattern of thermal bonds, including a plurality of bonds each having a length and a width, the length being oriented perpendicularly to the stretch direction and being greater than the width. The elastic member may be joined with the first layer and the second layer while pre-strained in the stretch direction; when the stretch laminate is in a relaxed condition, at least the first layer may include a plurality of gathers including elongate ridges and valleys oriented transversely to the stretch direction. Abstract: A process for making a card includes the steps of forming a core layer having a first surface and a second surface, disposing an uncured decorative ceramic layer of ceramic particles disposed in a resin binder over the first surface of the core layer, such as by spray coating, and curing the uncured decorative ceramic layer to form a cured decorative ceramic layer. Card products of the process may have a core layer of metal, ceramic, or a combination thereof that form a bulk of the card.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a reversible adhesive composition including a copolymer between a vinyl spacer monomer unit and a vinyl reversible binder monomer unit. Each monomer unit can be based on acrylate monomer, a vinyl ester monomer, or a vinyl ether monomer, with the spacer monomer unit generally having a shorter pendant chain (such as 1-3 carbon atoms) and the reversible binder monomer unit having a longer pendant chain (such as 3-20 carbon atoms). A corresponding article includes first and second surfaces (or substrates) that are in contact with and bonded to the reversible adhesive composition at an interface therebetween. The reversible adhesive composition generally involves non-covalent and/or non-ionic bonding forces, for example H-bonding, permanent dipole, electron donor-acceptor moieties, and/or van der Waals forces, between the copolymer chains. The first and second surfaces can be repeatedly bonded, separated, and re-bonded while retaining the adhesive strength of the reversible adhesive composition.

Abstract: The invention relates to a component made from a material consisting predominantly of renewable raw materials, the component having at least one hole with a longitudinal axis (A) and the material being locally compressed in the region peripherally adjoining the hole. According to the method, at least one pin, which comprises a substantially cylindrical shaft and a tip having a reducing diameter in the direction of the component, penetrates into the material, thus creating a hole in the component, and displaces the wood material radially and/or axially, so that the material in the region surrounding the hole is compressed. The tool used for carrying out the method is designed in the form of at least one pin having a cylindrical or polygonal shaft and a tip reducing in diameter in the direction of the component.

Abstract: An integrated roofing product comprising a wood or cellulosic structural or roof sheathing base or core panel with a rigid foam insulation sheet or layer laminated or otherwise attached to the panel's inner face. Shingles and/or other protective material may then be attached to the panel's outer face. A plurality of parallel air channels extend vertically in the rigid foam insulation sheet or layer, providing a pathway for air to pass up and out of the eave space. Some or all of the air channels are disposed on the surface of the foam layer that is laminated or attached to the panel's inner face, so that part of the air channel is formed at the interface. A radiant barrier layer may be placed on the inner face of the rigid foam insulation sheet or layer, or between the foam insulation and the inner face of the roof sheathing base or core panel.

Abstract: A body impact protection system includes an inner layer and an impact force dampening and defusing structure. The inner layer includes a material composition and is adjacent to a body part when the body impact protection system is worn. The impact force dampening and defusing structure is juxtaposed to the inner layer and includes a plurality of components. The components function to reduce pressure on the body part from an impact force on a layer by layer basis. Each layer of the system dampens and defuses the impact force such that, by the time it reaches the body part, it has been substantially attenuated and spread over a large area.
