    摘要: An improved metering apparatus is provided for use with a foam dispenser that disperses beads of foam after mixing streams of two foam components together. The dispenser has a pair of seal passages formed in a body portion of the dispenser and a spool valve rotated mounted in the body portion. The spool valve has a pair of flow passages formed in it that can be rotated into mating alignment with the seal passages formed in the dispenser body. The spool valve flow passages have circular cross-sections while the seal passages have non-circular cross-sections, and preferably triangular cross-sections.

    摘要: A fuel injector adapter for providing nitrous oxide to an internal combustion engine is disclosed. The nozzle has a central fuel injector passage that terminates at a first outlet end. Fuel from a fuel injector may be passed through the central fuel injector passage. The nozzle also has an inner annular passage arranged circumferentially around the central fuel injector passage. The inner annular passage terminates at a second outlet end. The nozzle also has an outer annular passage arranged circumferentially around the inner annular passage that terminates at a third outlet end. One or both of the inner and outer annular passages is adapted to pass nitrous oxide through it. The nozzle is adapted to fit between a fuel injector and an engine without substantial modification to the engine.

    摘要: A spray nozzle is disclosed which includes an elongated nozzle body having an axially extending interior chamber and at least two radially extending air inlet ports communicating with the interior chamber. An elongated fluid inlet fitting having an axial fluid inlet passage is axially disposed within the interior chamber of the nozzle body. A fluid distribution insert is axially disposed within the axial fluid inlet passage of the fluid inlet fitting. The fluid distribution insert has an axial impact chamber formed therein, and an axial fluid feeding orifice which communicates with the axial impact chamber. An air swirling insert is disposed within the nozzle body. The air swirling insert has an interior bore for receiving the fluid distribution insert, and a fluid mixing orifice communicating with the fluid feeding orifice of the fluid distribution insert. A fluid metering insert is axially disposed within the impact chamber of the fluid distribution insert. The fluid metering insert has a metering orifice providing fluid communication between the impact chamber of the fluid distribution insert and the axial fluid inlet passage of the fluid inlet fitting. The metering orifice is offset from the axis of the fluid feeding orifice, and has a smaller diameter than the fluid feeding orifice.

    摘要: A pressurized system for the preparation and mixing of two or more component solutions comprising a cleaning solution to produce a prepared cleaning solution for use with various applicators in common use in the cleaning industry. The system is made up of a mobile frame for supporting a plurality of pressurized tanks which are connected through feed lines to a mixing tee fitting to produce the output mixed cleaning solution. An inline heater can be optionally added in one or more of the feed lines to provide heat to the component solution before mixing, and an inline heater can be optionally added after mixing to heat the prepared solution. Pressure is supplied to the system by an air compressor directly connected to each of the pressurized tanks so that the same pressure is applied to all tanks. Pressure is maintained in the system when changing tanks by use of liquid disconnects between the feed lines and the output valves of the tanks, gas disconnects between the compressed air line and the input valves of the tanks, and quick disconnects at all points where solutions may be extracted from the system. This allows easy removal and exchange for any solution tank without disrupting the solution flow through the system and further eliminates the need to drain solution tanks and purge solution lines. The system is composed of inexpensive parts commonly found in industry and is used in both residential and commercial applications for cleaning carpet, upholstery, drapes, and other such textile surfaces.

    摘要: A fuel injector is provided. The fuel injector includes a housing having an inlet, an outlet a longitudinal axis extending therethrough, and a seat disposed proximate to the outlet. The seat includes a sealing surface and a passage extending therethrough. The fuel injector also includes a multi-layer orifice plate assembly located at the housing outlet. The orifice plate assembly includes a first orifice plate having a plurality of first openings extending therethrough and a second orifice plate disposed proximate to the first orifice plate. The second orifice plate includes a first face having a perimeter, and a plurality of channels extending radially therethrough to the longitudinal axis. The second orifice plate also includes a second face disposed opposite the first face and a plurality of second openings extending between the first face and the second face. The fuel injector also includes an air assist sleeve disposed about the housing proximate to the outlet. The air assist sleeve includes at least one air channel in communication with the plurality of channels. A method of providing a fuel/air mixture is also provided.

    摘要: An air brush is shown and described including a replaceable, rotatable, nozzle head including a media port and a needle arrangement. Media contamination of the air brush is limited to the removable nozzle head, thereby making the air brush body free of media contamination. By rotatable mounting of the nozzle head, a variety of media sources are made available, ranging from gravity fed devices such as media top and side cups to suction fed devices such as media jars. The trigger arrangement of the present invention presents an actuator shaft movable longitudinally in response to trigger movement for engagement of the needle of the nozzle head. Mechanical coupling between the air brush body and nozzle head is limited to structural coupling for mounting the nozzle head and an abutment relationship between the actuator shaft and the needle. This allows rotational freedom of movement for the nozzle head relative to the body, and also ease of dismounting by simply separating the nozzle head from the air brush body. The air brush provides both a double-action and single-action trigger for broad versatility in selected modes of use. Overall, the simplified mechanical design and improved operational abilities provide an air brush of great versatility and low maintenance.
