    Abstract: An air filter oil composition is provided for enhancing airflow and filtration of air passing through an air filter. The composition includes a first portion comprising paraffinic oil, a second portion comprising polyalphaolefin (PAO), and a third portion comprising black dye. Applying the air filter oil composition to a cotton air filter material causes tackiness throughout the air filter material, thereby enhancing airflow and filtration of air passing through the air filter. The composition generally is substantially non-reactive, has an excellent oxidation stability, possesses good thermal stability, and retains a suitable viscosity at normal operating temperatures of an automobile engine. In an embodiment, the composition comprises 96.74% paraffinic oil by volume, 3.20% PAO by volume, and 0.06% black dye by volume. A viscosity of the composition at 100 degrees-C. ranges between about 7.2 centistokes and about 7.6 centistokes.

    Abstract: A preparation method and a product of thermoplastic carbon fiber fabric prepreg are provided. The preparation method includes: covering a thermoplastic polyimide non-woven fabric on a carbon fiber fabric to obtain a laminated structure, pressing the laminated structure, then spraying polyphenylene sulfide nanoparticles onto the thermoplastic polyimide non-woven fabric, and performing a two-stage hot melting preparation process which includes: in a first stage, heating up to make the polyphenylene sulfide nanoparticles be melted and infiltrate and keeping a hot melting time of 5-10 min; and in a second stage, heating up to make the thermoplastic polyimide non-woven fabric be melted and infiltrate into the carbon fiber fabric and cooling down after a duration of heat preservation to prepare the thermoplastic carbon fiber fabric prepreg. The thermoplastic carbon fiber fabric prepreg prepared by the two-stage hot melting has high strength and may be stored for a long period.

    Abstract: Fiber-containing composites are described that contain woven or non-woven fibers, and a cured binder formed from a binder composition that includes (1) a reducing sugar and (2) a crosslinking agent that includes a reaction product of a urea compound and a polycarbonyl compound. Exemplary reaction products for the crosslinking agent may include the reaction product of urea and an α,β-bicarbonyl compound or an α,γ-bicarbonyl compound. Exemplary fiber-containing composites may include fiberglass insulation.
