摘要: A hybrid fluid-flow assembly having a base fitting that has been formed by axial load bulge forming from a sheet of metal, and a custom fitting that has been machined from a shaped-memory alloy. At least one connection port of the custom fitting is connected to at least one connection port of the base fitting by an interference fit. The interference fit is formed by cooling the custom fitting to a temperature below its transition temperature, deforming the custom fitting so that the diameter of its connection port is slightly larger than the connection port on the base fitting, installing the connection port of the custom fitting on the connection port of the base fitting, and allowing the custom fitting to warm to room temperature. The shaped-memory alloy swages and coins the outer surface of the base fitting at the interface of the ports, thereby forming a compressive, interference fit.

摘要: A device for the manufacture of perforated films or foils comprises a means (5) for the perforation of the film or foil (2), as well as a means (19) for crimping the edges of the thusly produced holes. By crimping the edges, the holes are fixed after having been opened. Punching tools for cutting the perforation out of the film or foil are not required. Rather, the desired hole is first created as a puncture, or as a cut, and is then widened. During the crimping operation, the material bent out of the plane of the film or foil is fixed in place in such a manner that it will not close the pierced hole again.

摘要: A method of forming a tubular member with thickened ends includes the steps of positioning a tubular member between open die halves and sealing ends of the tubular member. The method also includes the steps of applying at least nominal internal hydraulic pressure to the tubular member and progressively closing the die halves. The method includes the steps of raising the hydraulic pressure substantially within the tubular member to expand and conform the tubular member to the tubular cavity portion. The method further includes the steps of thickening a wall thickness of the axial ends of the tubular member, separating the die halves, and removing the tubular member having thickened axial ends from the die.

摘要: The invention relates to a heat carrier comprising at least one collector pipe (1) for receiving the ends of flat pipes (10a), especially for a CO2 air conditioning unit for motor vehicles. The collector pipe (1) is formed by an open hollow profiled section (7) with edges (8, 9) forming a continuous longitudinal slit extending in a longitudinal direction and the ends of the flat pipes (10a), which are twisted at an angle of 90°, are received in a fluidically tight manner in the longitudinal slot. According to the invention, the edges (8,9) partially abut, forming a separating joint (4) and are partially rolled back, forming receiving openings for the ends of the flat pipes (10a). The receiving openings are produced by plastic deformation.

摘要: There is provided a common rail which can effectively restrict a generation of a stress in a lower end inner peripheral edge portion of a branch hole and can improve an internal pressure fatigue strength in a branch pipe connecting portion, so that a secure and stable function can be obtained by having an excellent durability and preventing a fluid leakage due to a generation of the crack generation and a method of manufacturing a common rail in which a pressure application process by the press is only added to a normal manufacturing process, no complex equipment is required, a common rail having a high quality can be manufactured by a low cost without generating problems that an equipment cost is increased by an increase of the process and a productivity is reduced. In the method of the invention, there is provided a method of manufacturing a common rail comprising at least one branch hole provided in an axial peripheral wall portion of a main pipe rail having a communication passage inside an axial core, a pressure receiving seat surface communicating with a branch pipe having a communication passage communicating with the communication passage in a peripheral surface portion of the branch hole and open to an outer portion, thereby bringing a pressing seat surface portion constituted by a connection head portion disposed in an end portion of the branch pipe into contact and engaging therewith, and a joint metal fitting surrounding an outer peripheral portion of the main pipe rail and a nut previously assembled in the branch pipe end which are meshed with each other so as to be pressed under a neck portion of the connection head portion, thereby being fastened and connected, wherein a pressing force is applied to the main pipe rail near the branch hole from an outer portion to a diametrical direction by a press method, thereby generating a compression residual stress at a portion near the open end portion of the communication passage of the main pipe rail in the branch hole.
