    摘要: A hand-held motor-driven percussion tool comprises a piston driven over an air cushion and acting over an axially movable anvil on the inner end of a tool axially movable in a tool receiver provided at one end of a tool housing. The anvil has an annular collar located in the cavity of an impact body which is movable in the direction of the impact of the piston against a cushioning ring. The impact body has an abutment face adapted to be engaged by a collar of the anvil when the latter is driven by the piston. A face of the impact body facing away from the cushioning ring is directed toward a part fixedly connected with the tool housing. The mass of the impact body is for instance 10% greater than that of the anvil. If the tool during operation is withdrawn from a workpiece, then the flange of the anvil impinges upon the abutment face of the impact body and accelerates the latter towards the cushioning ring. The anvil reaches in a region adjacent the impinging location a rest position, so that the piston will not engage the anvil any longer, and further striking of the percussion tool will cease.

    摘要: A hammer drill is arranged to rotate and also apply percussive force to a tool receptacle. The percussive force is transmitted from a shaft to a drive piston which, in turn, reciprocates a percussion piston which drives the tool receptacle. The hammer drill includes a housing and a bearing rotatably mounted in the housing. The shaft is rotatably mounted in the bearing and its axis extends perpendicularly of the axis of rotation of the bearing. The bearing supports a contact rim which is in meshed engagement with the shaft. The contact rim is displaceably into frictional contact with a brake member for holding the contact rim against rotation while the bearing rotates carrying with it the shaft. Due to its meshed engagement with the contact rim, the shaft rotates about its own axis causing the drive piston to reciprocate.

    摘要: A safety guard (10) and method of manually feeding a workpiece (11), such as a flat rectangular terminal board, to an assembly machine (13), such as a conventional eyeletting machine. The guard includes a hollow, generally hemispherical shield (20) having a slot (21) in a front face thereof, into which an end portion (A) of a workpiece may be inserted so that the working portion of the workpiece extends from the front of the shield toward the machine. The operator inserts his or her hand into a rear opening of the shield and securely grips the end portion of the workpiece between thumb and forefinger, so that the workpiece may freely be fed manually to the assembly machine, but the shield protects the operator's hand from injury by the machine details.

The lock plate is additionally biased in the forward direction by a coil spring (38) so that when a clutch (19) is shifted forward in a drill mode, the lock plate also moves forward into engagement with a stopper (39) secured to an inner housing (4), preventing inadvertent rotation of the boss sleeve.

    摘要: The invention relates to a demolition hammer and/or hammer drill comprising a percussion generating device having a percussion piston moving axially back and forth. In a main percussion mode, the percussion piston impinges upon a tool which can move along a limited axial path straight into a main percussion direction. In a free percussion mode, the percussion piston indirectly impinges upon a percussion changing device, and by means thereof upon the tool, in a free percussion direction opposite to the main percussion direction. The impact surface of a tool shaft and the impact surface of a free percussion ram are placed opposite an impact surface of the percussion piston in such a way that the free percussion ram is removed from the effective area of the percussion piston by a return spring in the main percussion position. Under the effect of the return spring, the percussion ram is simultaneously supported on a gear member of the percussion changing device, which projects with an extension into the motion path of a stop surface provided in the tool. The stop surface reaches the extension when it has moved away from the effective area of the percussion piston in an idle running state of the tool shaft. If the movement of the tool is continued, the stop surface impinges upon the gear member against the effect of the return spring and relocates the free percussion ram in the effective area of the percussion piston by overcoming the spring force.
