Abstract:
A method and a device for the quality inspection and testing of a flat print product. A print product, including at least one structural element, is initially deposited on a support element and illuminated by at least one light source. At least one image of the illuminated print product is generated using at least one image recording unit. An image is also generated of at least one structural element on the support element and a geometric object of the support element is determined from the at least one structural element of the support element. Actual values for the at least one geometric object of the support element are compared to predetermined desired values for this geometric object and the result of the comparison is used for controlling the further processing of the print product.
Abstract:
An inversion apparatus uses a first pair of bend rollers to twist a conveyor belt 90.degree., and a second pair of bend rollers to twist the conveyor belt an additional 90.degree.. The two bend rollers of each pair are rotatably mounted at rotational axes which are perpendicular to each other. Preferably, stabilizer rollers are provided between the bend rollers of each pair, and cylindrical rollers are provided to feed the conveyor belt to and from the bend rollers. The stabilizer rollers and bend rollers are preferably curved so as to equalize the tension across the width of the belt.
Abstract:
A method for conveying material wherein a conveyor belt is guided over head drums so as to form a forward traveling and returning stretch. The conveyor belt is guided in such a way that the forward traveling and returning stretches intersect each other as seen in the horizontal projection, i.e., as seen in the direction of the drum axes, and the conveyor belt travels over both head drums from the top toward the bottom.
Abstract:
A single-chain feed conveyor having a series of flights on a central bottom chain, which normally discharges at its forward end, is modified to provide discharge at intermediate points. A shroud at the forward discharge end has an open condition in which it permits normal forward-end discharge, and has a closed condition in which it forms a return bend channel to guide the conveyed material to the return trough containing the return stretch of the conveyor chain. The returning flights then convey the material along the return trough to an opening in any desired point therein. Leveling means over the forward-conveying trough levels any large clumps of conveyed material, such as silage, to prevent overloading the return bend shroud, and such shroud is shaped with wide clearance at the top and close clearance at the bottom with respect to the conveyor flights as they swing about the sprocket at the discharge end.
Abstract:
A layer direction determining method for a multilayer electronic component to accurately determine the layer direction of conductor layers in the multilayer electronic component.
Abstract:
A self-propelled sod harvesting machine includes a cutter head which separates a strip of sod from the ground, an elevator for raising the sod strip on the machine, and a blade assembly for cutting individual sod pads from the strip. A conveyer for the sod pads includes a plurality of spaced apart chains drawn around sprockets and carrying outwardly projecting teeth which penetrate the pads from the top. The teeth are arranged to pinch the sod in a manner to retain it on the conveyer as the individual pads are successively carried to a sod box containing a pallet. A stripping mechanism is lowered in a rocking type stroke to strip the sod pads off of the conveyer teeth and onto the pallet in a stack.
Abstract:
The present disclosure concerns embodiments of an apparatus and method for producing a filled-dough food product, such as a fruit-filled turnover (e.g., an apple turnover) or a single-serve pie, on an industrial scale. In one representative embodiment, the apparatus includes a filling-apportionment mechanism and a filling-transfer mechanism. The filling-apportionment mechanism is configured to apportion or separate a supply of filling pieces (e.g., pieces of fruit, such as apple pieces) into one or more portions of a predetermined size. The filling-transfer mechanism includes a vacuum pick-up device that is configured to pick up one or more portions of filling pieces from the filling-apportionment mechanism and deposit the portions on a sheet of dough.
