    Abstract: A device for pushing a stack of printed products from a table on which the stack is stacked has a stacking receptacle provided on the table and receiving the printed products for stacking. The stacking receptacle is defined by four lateral edges of the printed products and has two opposed lateral guide walls viewed in a pushing direction of pushing out the stack of printed products. The guide walls each have vertical guide rails moveable along the guide walls in the pushing direction. The guide rails on the opposed guide walls are positioned opposite one another in guide rail pairs forming a forward receptacle boundary and a rearward receptacle boundary in the pushing direction. The rearward receptacle boundary in the pushing direction is a pushing device for the stack of printed products.

    Abstract: A method for producing a roll from printed products in a winding operation includes winding the printed products with winding tape onto a winding core; driving a winding rug with a first drive, wherein the winding rug is arranged on the underside of the winding core and fitted against the winding core for rotating the winding core; driving a winding tape supply with a second drive, wherein the winding tape is unwound from the winding tape supply; and maintaining a predetermined tape tension during the winding operation. Maintaining the predetermined tape tension includes measuring speed and distance with measurement devices at the first and second drives to obtain measured values, computing the diameter of the winding tape supply with the measured values, and regulating a rotational moment with the computed diameter of the winding tape supply to maintain the tension.

    Abstract: An arrangement for the step-by-step conveyance of printed products, such as, newspapers, magazines or the like from a removal location, wherein the printed products are supplied to the removal location by a conveying unit approximately vertically and spaced apart from each other. The arrangement includes at least one set of gripping tongs for gripping the lower ends of the printed products at the removal location. The gripping tongs are connected to a driven hub. The gripping tongs are retractably controlled by the periphery of the hub which interacts with a friction wheel arranged after the removal location. The gripping tongs extend through a space which is arranged downstream and is provided for the controlled release of the printed products. The space is defined by conveying members which are driven in the same direction.

    Abstract: A conveying arrangement for processing printed material to printed products has a conveying member supplying printed material and an intermediate conveying device with compartments rotating about an axis of rotation and formed by two opposed adjustable plates. The compartments receive the printed material from the conveying member. A synchronously operating conveyor is arranged downstream of the intermediate conveying device and has pocket-shaped receiving elements receiving the printed material from the compartments. The compartments, when approaching the conveying member, are moved into an open position for receiving the printed material and then into a closed position for further transporting the received printed material. The compartments have controllable conveyors arranged opposite one another on the opposed adjustable plates. The conveyors transport frictionally the printed material, clamped therebetween, out of the compartments. A drive acts on the conveyors.
