    摘要: A process for dimerizing lower .alpha.-olefins using a catalyst comprising (A) at least one nickel compound selected from the group consisting of organic acid salts of nickel, inorganic acid salts of nickel and complexes of nickel, (B) a trialkyl aluminum, (C) at least one phosphorus-containing compound selected from the group consisting of tri-valent phosphorus compounds represented by the formulae: (I) PR.sup.1 R.sup.2 R.sup.3, (II) (R.sub.2.sup.1 N).sub.n PR.sub.3-n.sup.2 and (III) (R.sup.1 O).sub.n PR.sub.3-n.sup.2 (in which R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are each an alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl, aryl or aralkyl group having up to 18 carbon atoms and n is an integer of 1 to 3), and (D) a halogenated phenol of the formula (IV), ##STR1## wherein X.sub.1, X.sub.2, X.sub.3, X.sub.4 and X.sub.5 are each a halogen or hydrogen atom or a hydroxyl group and at least one of them is a halogen atom.

    摘要: A liquid polymer having a very high viscosity of between 250 cSt and 15,000 cSt at 210.degree.F, is prepared by polymerizing one, or a mixture of more than one, n-alpha olefine represented by the formula R - CH = CH.sub.2, in which R is an alkyl radical containing from 6 to 8 carbon atoms, in the presence of a catalyst system formed at a temperature in the range of 0.degree.-150.degree.C by a catalyst consisting of TiCl.sub.4 and a polyiminoalane having the formula: ##EQU1## IN WHICH N IS A WHOLE NUMBER NOT GREATER THAN 50 AND R is an isopropyl radical, and in an atmosphere consisting essentially of an inert gas. The liquid polymer of very high viscosity so formed is useful as a lubricant.

    摘要: A process for isomerization of .alpha.-olefin dimers which comprises dimerizing a lower .alpha.-olefin with a Ziegler type catalyst comprising a nickel compound and an organo-aluminum compound, and then continuing the reaction with addition of at least one compound, prior to deactivation of said catalyst, which is selected from the group consisting of the following organo-halogen compounds of the formulae (I), (II), (III) and (IV), ##STR1## wherein X.sup.1 to X.sup.11 are the same or different and are each a halogen or hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms and at least one of them in each formula is a halogen atom, R is a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are the same or different and are each a hydrogen or halogen atom or a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, R.sup.4 is a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are the same or different and are each an alkyl having 1 to 20 carbon atoms or, taken together, may form a cycloalkyl group, and n is an integer of 0 to 5.

    摘要: Binor-S is prepared by the catalytic dimerization of norbornadiene (bicyclo[2.2.1]hepta-2,5-diene) using a homogeneous catalyst system of cobaltic acetylacetonate and diethylaluminum chloride and triphenyl phosphine. Ethylaluminum dichloride or aluminum ethylsesquichloride can be used in lieu of the diethylaluminum chloride. The reaction rate is rapid at an ambient temperature. Binor-S can be used as a precursor for hydrocarbons having utility as a high energy fuel.

    摘要: The process of butene-1 production comprises the steps of: a) sending a inhibited catalyst containing reactor effluent to a flash section where the pressure is decreased by about 0.1 MPa to about 2 MPa, and obtaining a first gaseous phase containing ethylene and butene-1 and a first liquid phase containing the inhibited catalyst; b) sending the first liquid phase from step a) to at least one vaporisation section which allows the separation of a second gaseous phase containing butene-1 and ethylene from a second liquid phase containing the inhibited catalyst; c) sending the second liquid phase from step b) to at least one thin film evaporation section which allows the separation of a third gaseous phase containing ethylene, butene-1 and some other heavier hydrocarbon products from a concentrated inactivated catalyst solution and, d) collecting the first, second and third gaseous phases to form a gaseous reactor effluent substantially free of spent catalyst.
