    摘要： Polypropylene impact copolymer compositions are provided which contain a homopolymer phase of predominantly homopolymeric polypropylene, a copolymer phase of copolymerized ethylene and propylene, and a nucleating agent. The inventive compositions have a rubber content (Fc) in the range of 25 to 45% by weight, a crystallization temperature in the range of 122 to 132.degree. C., a melt flow in the range of about 7 to about 60 dg/min, and a ratio of the intrinsic viscosity of the copolymer phase to the intrinsic viscosity of the homopolymer phase of 1.4 to about 1.9. The polypropylene impact copolymer compositions may be used to form cast films which preferably are soft, quiet, and suitable for use in products to be used next to the skin, such as diapers, adult incontinence pads and feminine hygiene products.

    摘要： A process to prepare substantially pure glycolonitrile in an aqueous medium is provided by reacting hydrogen cyanide and formaldehyde. The formaldehyde feed stream is heated prior to reacting with hydrogen cyanide, resulting in an aqueous glycolonitrile solution with fewer impurities, especially less unreacted formaldehyde, than is obtained by other methods. The process enables production of an aqueous glycolonitrile solution that requires less post-reaction purification (if any at all) prior to enzymatically converting the glycolonitrile into glycolic acid.

    摘要： The invention relates to a method for producing novel reactive organic compounds containing poly-DOPO and having a higher phosphorus content than known comparable DOPO (9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phospha-phenenthrene-10-oxide) adducts, and to the use thereof for flameproofing thermoplastic polymers, such as polyesters and polyamides. The same flameproofing effect is achieved with smaller additive quantities than previously, thus reducing the influence of the physical, especially textile-physical properties of the polymers. The adducts containing poly-DOPO are formed by reacting DOPO with acetylenes carrying reactive groups, in the presence of a catalyst.
