Abstract: A multi-layer sliding member (1) includes a backing plate (2) formed from a steel plate, a copper-plated or nickel-plated layer (4) formed on one surface (3) of the backing plate (2), a porous sintered metal layer (5) integrally bonded to the surface (3) of the backing plate (2) through the layer (4), and a coating layer (8) filling pores (6) and coating on the surface (7) of the porous sintered metal layer (5) and formed from a synthetic resin composition. The synthetic resin composition contains a PTFE as a main component and further contains, as additives, 5 to 30% by mass of a thermotropic liquid crystal polymer, 5 to 12% by mass of a polyarylketone resin, 5 to 12% by mass of a melt moldable fluororesin, and 1 to 5% by mass of a polyimide resin.

Abstract: A thermoplastic resin composition of the present invention comprises: about 5 wt % to about 35 wt % of a modified polyaryletherketone resin comprising a repeat unit represented by chemical formula 1; about 5 wt % to about 35 wt % of a polyether ether ketone resin; about 20 wt % to about 40 wt % of a polyphenylsulfone resin; and about 15 wt % to about 50 wt % of glass fibers. The thermoplastic resin composition has good properties in terms of adhesion to metals, impact resistance, and so on.

Also disclosed is a pellet obtained by molding the resin composition and a molded article formed from the resin composition or the pellet.

Abstract: To provide a fluorinated copolymer composition having improved impact resistance and excellent moldability without impairing the excellent heat resistance and mechanical properties inherent to a thermoplastic heat-resistant resin. This fluorinated copolymer composition comprises a thermoplastic resin A being a melt-moldable heat-resistant thermoplastic resin and a fluorinated elastomer B being a fluorinated elastic copolymer, wherein the fluorinated elastomer B is dispersed in the thermoplastic resin A, the number average particle diameter of the fluorinated elastomer B is from 1 to 300 μm, the volume ratio of the thermoplastic resin A to the fluorinated elastomer B is from 97:3 to 55:45, and the fluorinated copolymer composition has a flexural modulus of from 1,000 to 3,700 MPa.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition for bonded magnets having good hot water resistance and a method of manufacturing the composition. The method of manufacturing a composition for bonded magnets includes: obtaining a first kneaded mixture by kneading a rare earth-iron-nitrogen-based magnetic powder and an acid-modified polypropylene resin; and obtaining a second kneaded mixture by kneading the first kneaded mixture with a polypropylene resin and an amorphous resin having a glass transition temperature of 120° C. or higher and 250° C. or lower, wherein, with respect to 100 parts by weight of the rare earth-iron-nitrogen-based magnetic powder, the amount of the acid-modified polypropylene resin is 3.5 parts by weight or greater and less than 10.4 parts by weight, and the total amount of the polypropylene resin and the amorphous resin is 0.35 part by weight or greater and less than 3.88 parts by weight.
