摘要: The invention relates to the use of terpene C1-C8-alkyl ether compositions and novel C1-C8-alkyl ethers of mono- and bicyclic terpenes as aroma chemicals, preferably as fragrances. The invention also relates to terpene C1-C8-alkyl ether compositions and novel C1-C8-alkyl ethers of mono- and bicyclic terpenes. The present invention also relates to a method for preparing C1-C8-alkyl ethers of mono- and bicyclic terpenes by electrolysis of mono- or polyunsaturated, non-aromatic, mono- or bicyclic terpene hydrocarbons.

摘要: A method of a hydrocarbon product and ammonia comprises introducing C2H6 to a positive electrode of an electrochemical cell comprising the positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a proton-conducting membrane between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. The proton-conducting membrane comprising an electrolyte material having an ionic conductivity greater than or equal to about 10−2 S/cm at one or more temperatures within a range of from about 150° C. to about 600° C. N2 is introduced to the negative electrode of the electrochemical cell. A potential difference is applied between the positive electrode and the negative electrode of the electrochemical cell. A system for co-producing higher hydrocarbons and NH3, and an electrochemical cell are also described.

摘要: Methods and systems related to the field of carbon capture and utilization are disclosed. Disclosed electrolysis reactors can have a cathode area having a cathode output and a cathode input for an input fluid and an anode area having an anode input and an anode output. The carbon input fluid contains carbon dioxide. The cathode area reduces an oxygen-containing species into hydroxide ions and reacts them with the carbon dioxide to form anions containing carbon. The anode area oxidizes one or more oxidizable species to generate a protonating species. The electrolysis reactors can have a third output for a carbon output fluid. The electrolysis reactors can begin to produce carbon dioxide from the anions containing carbon and the protonating species in response to a potential of less than 1.23 V applied across the cathode terminal and the anode terminal.

摘要: A method of producing methanol from methane in which hot-electrons generated under an external electric field in a process taking place in a multi-layer heterostructure comprising a nanoporous layer drive the conversion from methane to methanol. The structure generates hot electrons by providing spatial enhancement of the electric field, and purges hot holes which are created when hot electrons depart. This combination enhances heterogeneous catalysis of the conversion reaction.

摘要: Methods and cells are provided for electrochemically oxidizing methane to formate, in which methane supplied to an alkaline aqueous anolyte medium comprising hydroperoxyl anions is brought into contact with an oxidation catalyst anode. The oxidation catalyst may include CuFe oxide catalytic centres supported on a nickel substrate. An anodic current supplied to the oxidation catalyst in the anolyte medium electrolytically oxidizes methane to formate.
