Abstract:
A coupling structure of a variable length shaft, comprises a pipe member having an end formed with a plurality of slits elongated in the axial direction to be capable of expanding and diminishing in diameter, an intermediate shaft spline-fitted in the end of the pipe member, and a ring member fitted on an outer periphery of the end of the pipe member, the intermediate shaft being fastened by the end of the pipe member. A holder is releasably attached to an end of the ring member to expand a diameter thereof and thereby reduce a slide frictional resistance of the pipe member against the intermediate shaft. When the holder is released, the ring member diminishes in diameter, and a fastening force of the pipe member on the intermediate shaft is increased.
Abstract:
A tool adjustment system includes a first body, a second body and an adjusting member. The adjusting member is rotatably affixed to the first body and allowed to rotate in the second body during angular adjustment of the first body relative to the second body. In yet another aspect of the present invention, an adjustment tool and a locking tool are provided.
Abstract:
A drilling device has a carriage (1) on which a drilling member (22) can be removably mounted. In a receiving region, the carriage (1) has a tightening lever (4) that can be swiveled, with its first end area having a tightening surface (5) that interacts with a clamping surface (21) of a connection region of the drilling member (22). The second end area of the tightening lever (4) interacts with a tightening element (9) that keeps the tightening lever (4) under tension of a spring so that the drilling member (22) is firmly pressed against the carriage (1). Using the two release levers (15), the tightening element (9) can be moved into a release position in which the tightening lever (4) can be swiveled into the release position and the tightening element (9) lies against a retention surface (13) on the tightening lever (4). When a drilling member (22) is secured on the carriage (1), the tightening lever (4) is automatically swiveled into a tightened position and locked the tightening element (9).
Abstract:
A connector is configured to securely hold two twin-column supporting posts of an upper and a lower side supporter of a sectional rack to a linearly connected position. With the connector, the side supporters having twin-column supporting posts of the rack could be assembled from two or more shortened units. The shortened units of side supporters allow the disassembled rack to be packed into a largely reduced volume to facilitate convenient and economical transport and storage of the rack.
Abstract:
A device for fixing the hub of an arm of a wind-screen wiper (2) on a pivoting axis (1) with locking elements (6, 7) for the arm on the pivoting axis (1), a cavity (32) which is created in the hub (2) and is provided with adjusting and angular positioning elements for the arm in relation to the axis (1), whereby the hub (2) rests on the base of a stop (3) which nestles on a radius of operation (4) of the said axis (1); the locking elements (6, 7) are adapted in such a way that they can be engaged in a locking or unlocking position, the adjusting elements includes a connecting ring (10) which is rotationally fixed to the axis (1) and accommodated in the cavity (32) of the hub (2) with a certain amount of play allowing for limited relative angular displacement between the connecting ring (10) and the hub (2) when the locking elements (6, 7) are in an unlocked position, whereby all relative displacement is prohibited between the connecting ring (10) and the hub (2) when the locking elements (6, 7) are in a locked position.
Abstract:
A cam lock fastening system including cam lock devices for connecting two or more sheet metal panels to create a work booth. The device comprises a rigid, pivotable handle which includes at one end a cam like head; the handle being attached to an angle iron by a pivot pin. The angle iron is placed over the edges of the panels and is in a cooperating relationship with the panels as the handle is pivoted, causing the cam surface to be compressed against the compacted panel. The device is closed completely when a flat portion of the cam surface is in a locking relatonship with the panels. The locking of the device is aided by exerting influence upon the handle in a biasing manner, such as with a mallet like tool. The panels may be disconnected by reversing the direction of the handle to unlock the device. Eight foot sheet metal panels would require about three devices.
Abstract:
A position-adjustable fastening apparatus capable of maintaining a position of a first member with respect to a second member includes a cam receiver disposed in a bore of the first member, a cam disposed in a bore of the cam receiver, and a fastener disposed in the bore in the cam. A method for fastening a first member and a second member positioning the first member with respect to the second member, orienting a cam receiver with respect to a bore in the first member, and placing the cam receiver in the bore of the first member. The method further includes orienting a cam with respect to a bore in the cam receiver, placing the cam in the bore in the cam receiver, and engaging the fastener with the second member through the bore in the cam.
Abstract:
The device for rapid tool coupling and release on tool arms comprises a first rapid-attachment organ associated to a tool arm and is provided with at least one tooth and with hollow coupling seatings destined to couple in seatings and also with at least one pivot predisposed on the tool. The rapid-attachment organ is provided with at least a portion of coupling surface destined to couple on contact with at least a portion of plane on the seatings; the coupling surface is oriented in such a way that a perpendicular thereof does not intersect an axis of the pivot coupled in a hollow seating. Each of the at least one tooth of the coupling element, which is axially mobile internally of a guide having an axis lying in a perpendicular plane to the axis of the pivot coupled in a hollow seating, has an inclined plane destined to couple with a corresponding flat surface afforded on the at least one seating; the inclined plane being inclined with respect to the axis of the guide and generating together with the axis of the guide a slight tapering of a free end of the at least one tooth destined to couple by insertion thereof in the at least one seating.
Abstract:
A selectively closable and releasable connecting device for connecting a sports shoe and an item of sports equipment, has a baseplate for fixedly mounting to the item of sports equipment and on which the shoe sole can be supported and locked. The shoe being provided with lateral grooves for receiving a pair of locking elements of the connecting device, which lie rigidly and fixedly diametrically opposite each other on the baseplate with respect to a central pivot for the shoe. The device has a second pair of locking elements which likewise lie diametrically opposite one another and are rotatably connected to the baseplate via a gear mechanism having a driving element with a driver which protrudes, with respect to the supporting surface of the baseplate, for activation by the shoe, in the baseplate. The baseplate is further provided with a gear mechanism locking element which locks the gear mechanism in the closed position. The second pair of locking elements selectively rotate, along with the gear mechanism between a shoe-engaging locked position to an unlocked entry/exit position.
Abstract:
A fixing device, for fixing a linearly displaceable machine part relative to a fixedly supported machine part, has a guiding block (11), a bar member passing through the guiding block (11) in a bar guiding mechanism (14). The guiding block (11) has a controllable setting device and clamping members (21) which are provided with through-holes (24) for the bar member. The clamping members (21) in the guiding block (11) are settable by the setting device, between a first position in which the members (21) clamp the bar member and a second position in which the members (21) release the bar member. The clamping members (21) constitute a plurality of congruent plate elements (21) with parallel surfaces. In the release position, the plate elements (21) are located so as to be approximately normal relative to the central axis A1 of the bar guiding mechanism (14) and, in the clamping position, assume corresponding angular positions relative to the central axis A1 of the bar guiding mechanism (14).
