    摘要: A fixed type constant velocity universal joint has an outer joint member including first track groove portions and second track groove portions. Each of the first track groove portions includes an arc part having a curvature center that is not offset in an axial direction with respect to a joint center. The first track groove portions are inclined in a peripheral direction of the outer joint member with respect to a joint axial line and adjacent to each other in the peripheral direction with inclination directions opposite to each other. Each of the second track groove portions has a different shape than the first track groove portions. Each of the first track groove portions and each of the second track groove portions are connected to each other at a position on an opening side with respect to the joint center.

    摘要: Track grooves of an outer joint member include first and second track groove portions positioned on interior and opening sides, respectively. Each first track groove portion has an arc shape with a curvature center at a position offset to the opening side with respect to a joint center. The first track groove portions are inclined in a peripheral direction of the outer joint member with respect to a joint axial line and adjacent to each other in the peripheral direction with their inclination directions opposite to each other. Each second track groove portion has a shape that is different than each of the first track groove portions so as to increase an effective track length at a maximum operating angle. The second track groove portions are connected to the first track groove portions at a position on the opening side with respect to the joint center.

    摘要: An outer joint member has first and second track groove portions located respectively on depth and opening sides. The first track groove portions each have a circular-arc ball-raceway center line having a curvature center that is not offset in an axial direction with respect to a joint center. The second track groove portions each have a ball-raceway center line including a straight part to increase an effective track length at a maximum operating angle. Track grooves of an inner joint member each have a ball-raceway center line that is mirror-image symmetrical with a ball-raceway center line of the paired track groove of the outer joint member with respect to a plane passing through the joint center at an operating angle of 0°.

    摘要: A constant velocity universal joint for large articulation angles, consisting of an outer joint part comprising a cavity and longitudinally extending outer ball running grooves opening towards the cavity; an inner joint part positioned inside the cavity and comprising longitudinally extending inner ball running grooves corresponding to the outer ball running grooves; torque transmitting balls running in outer and inner ball running grooves associated with one another; and a cage which is arranged between the outer joint part and the inner joint part, which is provided with windows for accommodating the balls and which comprises two opposed apertures having generating central axes which extend transversely to the joint axis. With reference to the above joint it is proposed that the outer joint part is provided with radially opposed slots with surface-normal central axes which coincide with the central axes of the apertures, that at the inner joint part there are arranged two radially opposed journals which extend transversely to the joint axis and comprise central axes which coincide with the central axes of the slots and pass through the slots, that the cage is substantially annular in shape relative to the central axes of the apertures and that there is provided a two-arm joint yoke which, by means of its arms, is secured to the journals.

    摘要: A clutch tool includes a housing that is non-rotatable with respect to the first section of the work string and comprising inner grooves. The clutch tool also includes an inner mandrel that is non-rotatable with respect to the second section of the work string. The inner mandrel includes outer grooves that extend along only an axial portion of the inner mandrel. Further, the inner mandrel includes a torque transition area opening from the outer grooves and extending completely around the inner mandrel. The clutch tool also includes a torque sleeve comprising inner protrusions engageable with the outer grooves and outer protrusions engageable with the outer grooves, the outer protrusions being angled. Moreover, the clutch tool includes a biasing device to bias the inner protrusions of the torque sleeve into engagement with the outer grooves.

    摘要: A universal joint wherein torque-transmitting balls are engaged between complementary grooves formed in an inner and outer joint member, with the balls being supported by a supporting element which is arranged in a jaw-like opening formed on one side of the universal joint through which the balls may be inserted in operative engagement within the joint. The invention is directed toward the curvature of the grooves which are arranged in such a way that a connecting line extending between the center of the radius of curvature of the grooves and the center of the torque-transmitting balls forms an angle relative to the central axis of rotation of the joint which is smaller than or equal to 85.degree., the angle being taken in accordance with the arcsine of the projection of the center of the radius of curvature of the grooves and the ball center onto a vertical plane extending perpendicularly relative to the axis of rotation of the joint, divided by the length of the radius of curvature.
