摘要： A changeover valve is provided on an upstream side of solenoid valves for hydraulic engaging elements. The changeover valve is urged to the closed position by the hydraulic oil pressure of a plurality of hydraulic engaging elements which are concerned with the speed changing. At the time of failure in which three or more of the hydraulic engaging elements are simultaneously engaged, the changeover valve is changed over to the closed position to thereby lower the hydraulic oil pressure in the hydraulic engaging elements on the downstream side of the changeover valve, whereby the simultaneous engagement is prevented. In the closed position, a hydraulic oil pressure of a predetermined pressure is inputted to the changeover valve via an oil passage. The chattering of the changeover valve is thus prevented even if the hydraulic oil pressure in the hydraulic engaging elements may be lowered.

摘要： A mechanical, infinitely variable speed drive is provided with reverse actuation and a single control lever. The drive includes a shaft with an output gear and two driven, face-to-face bevel gears. Shifting mechanism connects either or neither bevel gear to the shaft. A drive bevel gear engages both driven bevel gears and is driven through variable speed pulleys. A cam plate operates the shifting mechanism and a cam manipulates the variable speed pulleys. Both the cam plate and the cam are controlled by a single control lever. The output can be through a differential with the bevel gear shaft being hollow and rotatably mounted on one of the axles of the differential.

摘要： A transmission ratio selecting mechanism including a ratio selector means (typically a hand lever), first and second ratio coupling members (36b,37 ) movable to select a number of ratios in the forward and reverse drive directions of an associated transmission, and linkage means (65,63,54,61,62,59,57,60,65,63,64,70,71,68,67,69) for moving the ratio coupling members in response to movement of the ratio selector means. The ratio selecting mechanism includes disconnecting means (72,73,63,64) for disconnecting one (37) of the ratio coupling members from the selector means during selection of the reverse ratios of the transmission. During selection of any reverse ratio both the gear coupling means are initially moved in synchronism in response to movement of the selector means to complete the first part of the selection of the particular reverse ratio, the disconnecting means is then operated, and selection of the reverse ratio is completed by further movement of only one (36b) of the ratio coupling means in response to further movement of the selector means. The selector means is arranged to return the ratio coupling members to synchronism on movement of the selector means to disengage the reverse ratio.

摘要： A timer for a dryer includes an axially movable shaft operated by a face cam and carrying a movable gear which provides different gear ratios in a gear train between the timer motor and a camstack. The driving arrangement reduces the drive speed of the camstack so that only a small portion of the timer dial is utilized during the time in which the face cam shifts the gear train into the low speed mode of operation. Another cam mounted for mutual rotation with a gear which is ahead of the movable gear and thereby unaffected by the gear shifting operation includes a lobe which operates a contact in series with the dryer drive motor to provide intermittent operation of the motor and thus intermittent tumbling of the clothes in the rotatable drum driven by the drive motor.

摘要： A gear shifting assembly for changing the speed positions of transmissions in automotive vehicles has a double-acting gear shifting cylinder receiving oil by way of a directional control valve which is actuatable by oil in dependency on a pressure differential between the cylinder chambers. The directional control valve receives oil from a pump by way of an adapter valve which is controlled by an adjustable pressure regulating valve. The pressure of oil which moves the piston in the double-acting cylinder depends on the selected speed position of transmission and such pressure develops when the piston encounters a resistance to its movement in the cylinder.
