    摘要: The shape of a reflector is to be made conspicuous to improve the appearance of a headlamp assembly. A headlamp assembly includes electric bulbs, a reflector, a lens and a case. Between the reflector and the case are formed gaps which result from a difference in shape between the reflector and the case. Blindfold portions are formed integrally with the reflector for filling the gaps. The blindfold members are provided with reflecting surfaces which project a black portion of the ground or of an inner surface of the case. With the reflecting surfaces of the blindfold members, a contrast is created between the blindfold member and reflecting surfaces of the reflector to make the reflecting surface shape of the reflector conspicuous.

    摘要: In a vehicular lamp, a plurality of LED lines to which a plurality of LEDs are connected in series, are connected in parallel. The LEDs are arranged in a flat plane on a circuit board, the plurality of LEDs are arranged symmetrically with respect to a first centerline of the flat plane. Therefore, even when any one of the LEDs in the plurality of the LED lines becomes incapable of emitting light leading to all of the LEDs connected in series in the LED line to turn off, because the LEDs in the LED line are arranged symmetrically, the symmetrical balance of the LEDs shut down is maintained as an entire lamp, and the overall appearance of the lamp can be preserved.

    摘要: An annular lighting fixture having a housing, a channel, and a plurality of lights disposed in the channel. The fixture can be attached about a tubular portion of a motorcycle. In one embodiment, the plurality of lights are light emitting diodes surface mounted on a flexible printed circuit board disposed in the channel. In another embodiment a collimator is associated with each LED unit to redirect light in a desired direction. In another embodiment reflective portions are arranged on respective sides of the channel so as to redirect light in a desired direction. A method is also provided herein for the illumination of a vehicle.

    摘要: Systems and techniques are described to provide a bulb insertion structure of a vehicular lamp which allows bulb replacement and accurate positioning of a bulb with respect to a reflector. In general, in one implementation, a bulb insertion structure of a vehicular lamp includes a plurality of fixing protrusions formed on an outer periphery of a rear end portion of a cylindrical socket fixture fixed in a bulb insertion hole of a reflector; a plurality of engaging protrusions formed on an outer periphery of a focus ring provided on a bulb and corresponding to the fixing protrusions; and a cup-shaped socket covering the outer periphery of the socket fixture from the rear, the socket incorporating a spring for pressing forward the rear end portion of the accommodated bulb, and having an outer peripheral wall provided with, at multiple locations corresponding to the fixing protrusions, an engaging notch (J-slot) for holding the engaging protrusion and the fixing protrusion overlapped together. In this structure, the J-slot is provided with an engaging recess portion for holding the engaging protrusion in the J-slot when the socket is pulled out from the socket fixture. Furthermore, a slit, which extends continuously from the engaging recess portion of the J-slot in a circumferential direction, is formed of a size that allows the engaging protrusion and the fixing protrusion to only pass therethrough separately.

    摘要: A vehicle lamp including light sources, a reflective mirror for effecting desired light distribution by reflecting light emitted from the light sources and a lens disposed in front of the reflective mirror. In the vehicle lamp, the reflective mirror has a dummy portion which makes no contribution to effecting light distribution and is exposed to the outside through the lens, and an indicative mark for identifying the lighting device is formed integrally with the dummy portion. As the indicative mark can be visually recognized from the outside through the lens, the indicative mark needed not be formed on the lens. When lighting devices having different light distribution characteristics are provided, it is only needed to produce reflective mirrors respectively having corresponding indicative marks and the rest of the parts including the lens and the lamp body can be provided for common use.
