摘要:
In a startup period for a solar thermal electricity generating system, a non-solar source of steam heats a downstream receiver (for example, a superheating receiver) prior to insolation being available. Insolation, once available, heats an upstream receiver (for example, an evaporator). The upstream receiver can be arranged in a recirculation loop with a steam separation drum, which may be bypassed during the initial heating of the upstream receiver by insolation. Once sufficient temperature and pressure have been reached, steam from the upstream receiver is directed to the downstream receiver by way of the steam separation drum to replace the non-solar source of steam. Heating of the downstream receiver using steam from the upstream receiver continues until a threshold temperature and pressure are reached. Insolation is then directed at both the upstream and downstream receivers to generate steam for electricity production by a turbine.

For use in an electric home appliance, such as steam mop or steam vacuum cleaner, a steam generator is disclosed to include an electric heater, a fluid storage tank connected to the electric heater, a pressure valve installed in the fluid storage tank and an air compression unit operable by hand, electricity or steam to pump air into the fluid storage tank to force fluid out of the fluid storage tank to the electric heater for heating into steam for application.

A steam generator includes a gas flue having burners for fossil fuel, a gas-tight tube wall with tubes, inlet and outlet headers connected to the tubes, the outlet header being at a higher level than the inlet header, and a down pipe outside the tube wall connecting the outlet to the inlet header. A steam line is connected to the outlet header and at least one heating surface is connected downstream of the outlet header in the steam line. A feedwater line is connected to the gas flue and an economizer is connected upstream of the gas flue in the feedwater line. A regulating device for influencing feedwater flow in the feedwater line detects at least one of: the steam enthalpy in the heating surface or the steam line downstream of the heating surface, the steam temperature in the heating surface or the steam line downstream of the heating surface, the thermal output transfer to the tubes, a ratio of feedwater flow in the feedwater line to steam flow in the steam line, a ratio of injection water flow into an injection cooler connected in the steam line to feedwater flow in the feedwater line, and residual moisture of steam in the steam line.

A pump uses the steam hammer effect to pump water from a reservoir into a control volume. Steam is injected into a water conduit extending between a liquid water reservoir and the control volume forms a liquid steam interface. Steam within the conduit condenses on the interface creating a region of partial vacuum. Water accelerates into the region of partial vacuum and is vented into the control volume, flow being controlled by a valve.

Disclosed are a test loop for simulating a steam generator with or without an axial economizer and a test method thereof. The loop includes a cooling water loop, a water supply loop, a recirculated water loop and a power supply. The cooling water loop is used for condensing and cooling wet steam and providing the wet steam to the water supply loop and the recirculated water loop. The water supply loop is used for providing cold-state water supply for a test device, the recirculated water loop is used for reheating cooled water to be saturated and providing the water to the test device. The power supply is used for supplying power to heating equipment and an electric heater in the test device. The present disclosure provides a test method of the loop. Simulation tests can be carried out on a steam generator with or without an axial economizer.

Here is described a process to transform energy in chemical form in fuels into electric power through a thermal process. It combines advantages of the traditional internal combustion engine and the steam engine by producing supercritical combustion to allow direct mixture of combustion gases with additional working fluid to cool the mixture to operational conditions. The process allows the control of the inlet temperature of the turbine or expander and makes direct heat exchange by mixing working fluids. The combustion gases are completely used as working fluid in contrast to steam generator. The process improves the efficiency compared to combined cycle or traditional supercritical plants.

A coil assembly for a combustion chamber includes a first tube arranged into a plurality of inner coils and a second tube arranged into a plurality of outer coils that surround the plurality of inner coils. Each inner coil contacts adjacent inner coils. The plurality of outer coils are separated from adjacent outer coils by a plurality of spaces. The first and second tubes are configured to transport a heat transfer fluid (HTF). The plurality of inner coils are separated from the plurality of outer coils by a gap. The coil assembly also includes a cylindrical shroud surrounding at least a portion of the coil assembly. The cylindrical shroud has a length that is less than a length of the coil assembly.

A method of preventing a recirculation pump cavitation and a forced recirculation type steam-generating apparatus are disclosed in which water is forcibly circulated by a recirculation pump. The pressure of the steam-generating section of the steam-generating apparatus and the temperature of water at the suction side of the recirculation pump are detected. The rotational speed of the recirculation pump is reduced to a predetermined speed level when the difference between the saturation temperature associated with the detected pressure and the water temperature is reduced below a predetermined value, thus preventing the cavitation which otherwise might occur in the recirculation pump.
