    摘要: A heat exchanger has a condenser having a condenser tank and a radiator having a radiator tank. An end of the condenser tank in a longitudinal direction thereof is closed by a condenser tank cap, and an end of the radiator tank in a longitudinal direction thereof is closed by a radiator tank cap. A bracket through which the heat exchanger is mounted to a vehicle is secured to the end of the radiator tank in the longitudinal direction thereof so that a cavity is formed between the radiator tank cap and the bracket. As a result, heat is restricted from being transmitted from the radiator tank to the bracket. Therefore, heat is restricted from being transmitted from the radiator to the condenser through the bracket to maintain heat exchange performance of the condenser.

    摘要: Typical cooling modules for motor vehicle engines consist of a coolant radiator and a charge air cooler arranged in parallel. The coolant radiator and the charge air cooler are fixedly coupled to one another by a hinge-type connection of their feed cases. The present invention assigns a connection piece to the feed case of one of the coolers, which connects the fin/tube block on one side. The connection piece projects toward the other cooler and form-lockingly engages in a fastening opening on the feed case of the adjacent cooler. This connection piece is provided approximately in the center between two additional outer fastening points, so that a stable block is formed by the two feed cases. This is sufficient to uniformly distribute asymmetrically introduced forces to both coolers and thereby avoid overloading on one cooler.

    摘要: An annular-shaped heat exchanger 2 provided with a high-temperature fluid passage inlet 11 at one end in the axial direction and a low-temperature fluid passage inlet 15 at the other end in the axial direction is supported inside a cylindrical outer casing 9 via a heat exchanger supporting ring 36. The heat exchanger supporting ring 36 connecting a low-temperature section near the low temperature fluid passage inlet 15 of the heat exchanger 2 and a rear flange 33 of the outer casing 9 is formed by bending a plate member in a cross-sectionally step shape so that it can readily undergo elastic deformation to offset the thermal expansion of the heat exchanger 2. This ensures positive sealing between the high-temperature fluid passage inlet 11 and the low-temperature fluid passage inlet 15 of the heat exchanger 2 while minimizing the thermal stress occurring in the heat exchanger 2 and the outer casing 9. The heat exchanger supporting ring 36 also has a function of partitioning between a combustion gas passage inlet 11 and an air passage inlet 15.

Brackets for mounting the heat exchanger on a vehicle are connected to U-shaped side plate disposed on an outside of the core unit. After components constituting the core unit including the side plate are all connected to one another by brazing, the brackets are connected to the side plate via mounting members made of rubber by staking sidewalls of the U-shaped side plate. Since the brackets are connected to the heat exchanger by staking after the heat exchanger is completed, the heat exchanger is easily brazed and the number and positions of the brackets on the side plate can be arbitrarily selected.

    摘要: In a space conditioning system, such as a central air conditioning or heat pump system, a unit of the system has a heat exchanger made of a predetermined first type of metal (e.g., aluminum) and a cabinet in which the heat exchanger is mounted, which is made of a second type of metal (e.g., steel). A device is provided for isolating the heat exchanger from the cabinet to prevent contact therebetween. The isolation device preferably includes plural snap-fit plastic members spaced along the top and bottom of the heat exchanger, plural mounting brackets made of the first type of metal on each end of the heat exchanger and a pair of plastic bushings operatively associated with each mounting bracket and extending through aligned holes in the corresponding mounting bracket. The bushings are adapted to receive an attachment member, such as a screw, made of the second type of metal, so that each attachment member extends through the bushings and aligned holes in the corresponding mounting bracket to attach the mounting bracket to the cabinet without the mounting bracket contacting any part of the cabinet or the attachment member. In preventing direct contact between components having dissimilar metals, corrosion due to galvanic action is effectively inhibited.
