Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for controlling thermal radiation from a component. The method involves arranging a thermally conductive base layer in contact with the component, the base layer including a thermally emissive surface. A plurality of independently controlled shutter elements are movable about at least two orthogonal axes, and between closed and open positions, to change a dimension of a gap separating edges of adjacent ones of the shutter elements. The movements of the shutter elements are controlled about the two orthogonal axes to control the dimensions of the gaps to control thermal radiation emitted through the gaps.

Abstract: A removable heatsink assembly adapted to removably receive a pipe. The removable heatsink assembly includes a first plurality of fins and a second plurality of fins having collar flanges sized to receive a pipe. The fins are received on first and second spacer rods, respectively and are hingedly connected by a hinge rod such that the first and second plurality of fins are pivotally movable about the hinge rod between an open position and a closed position. In the open position, the first and second plurality of fins are positionable over the pipe. In the closed position, the collar flanges of the first and second plurality of fins substantially surround the pipe. A fin clamp secures the first and second plurality of fins together in the closed position about the pipe.

Abstract: A heat exchange apparatus for adjusting the temperature of fluids is provided. Abstract: A heat removal assembly is provided herein. The heat removal assembly includes an evaporator block, a heat pipe, and a condenser plate. The evaporator block removes heat from an electronic component. The evaporator block engages with the electronic component and forms a thermal connection therebetween that removes the heat from the electronic component.
