摘要: A digital multifunctional apparatus includes a printer, a scanner and a memory. A document code is stored in the memory and printed on a management document when a scanned document is stored in the memory. The document code identifies the scanned document. The apparatus comprises a receiver configured to receive data from an external data source. The memory is configured to store the data received from the external data source. A generator generates a document code that identifies the data received by the receiver. Further, a transmitter transmits the document code to the external data source to enable access by the external data source to the data in the memory identified by the document code.

摘要: An image transfer system is provided with an image transfer controller which transfers image information input from image input systems to selected one of a plurality of image handling systems. Destination image handling systems for image information are entered in a memory in advance by the kinds of the image information. The kind of the image information is read out from information attached to the image information and input into the image transfer controller. When image information is input, the image transfer controller reads out destination image handling system corresponding to the kind of the image information from the memory and transfers the image information to the destination image handling system.

摘要: An image feature amount extraction unit segments an image into a plurality of blocks and calculates the feature amount of each block. A feature amount label string generation unit adds a label to each block in accordance with the feature amount acquired for the block and arranges the labels on the basis of a predetermined block sequence to generate a label string. In retrieval, the similarity between the label string of a specified image and that of an image to be compared is calculated, and an image whose similarity exceeds a predetermined value is output as a retrieval result. In this way, similar image retrieval can be performed in consideration of the arrangement of feature amounts of images, and simultaneously, similar image retrieval can be performed while absorbing any difference due to a variation in photographing condition or the like.

摘要: A method for automatically processing a digital image to locate one or more windows that are substantially brighter than their surroundings begins by processing the digital image to compute a feature image identifying the location of features in the image based on a weighted contribution of edge information, brightness information, information corresponding to spatial activity and occlusion boundary information. Then the feature image is processed with one or more morphological filtering operations to provide edge smoothing and noise removal, thereby generating a filtered image. The filtered image is processed to identify zero or more regions, wherein the presence of one or more regions provides a segmented image, and the segmented image is logically combined with the occlusion boundary information to provide zero or more window candidates. Actual windows are deduced by verifying zero or more of the window candidates based on their mean intensity relative to the mean intensity of the digital image.

A column-address generator is configured to start at a selected column-start address, stop at a selected column stop address, and increment column addresses by a factor K. Circuitry is coupled to the row address generator and the column address generator, for storing the row-start address, the row-stop address, the column-start address, the column-stop address and the factor K. A row decoder is coupled to the row-address generator and a column selector is coupled to the column-address generator. A plurality of row select lines are coupled to the row decoder, each one of the row select lines associated with a different row in the active pixel sensor array. A plurality of column output lines are coupled to the column selector, each one of the column output lines associated with a different column in the active pixel sensor array.

摘要: A method and system for employing image recognition techniques to produce a photocollage from a plurality of images wherein the system obtains a digital record for each of the plurality of images, assigns each of the digital records a unique identifier and stories the digital records in a database; automatically sorts the digital records using at least one date type to categorize each of the digital records according at least one predetermined criteria; and generates a first draft of a photocollage from the digital records. The method and system provides for alterations of the first draft using either a sticker selected from a plurality of stickers which each have a unique identifier within a data base or a digital file format that allows drag and drop features of both the photocollage and alternative images to be placed within the photocollage. The system employs data types selected from pixel data; metadata; product order information; processing goal information; or customer profile to automatically sort data typically by culling or grouping to categorize according to either an event, a person, or chronologically.

摘要: An improved image data processing architecture utilizes a negotiation protocol with an information push technique to provide a more efficient and effective image data rendering pipeline. The improved image data processing architecture allows the optimization of data transfer through the use of image transfer parameters and flags. In another aspect of the invention, a selection mechanism is provided to allow a client application to easily select an image frame as the current frame in a multi-dimensional image. Image sinks within the invention may further support non-blocking behavior.
