摘要： Techniques are described herein for automating the teaching of language arts in a manner that directly engages students. In one embodiment, a display device of a computer system, as part of a first automated activity, displays a definition of a particular word without depicting the particular word itself. A plurality of draggable prefixes, roots and suffixes that belong to the particular word are displayed. A first position, on the screen display, is established to which a user may drag one of the draggable prefixes. A second position, on the screen display, is established to which the user may drag one of the draggable roots. A third position, on the screen display, is established to which the user may drag one of the draggable suffixes. In response to the user dragging a particular draggable prefix to the first position, dragging a particular draggable root to the second position, and dragging a particular suffix to the third position, the system generates an indication of success if the particular word is formed by combining the particular draggable prefix, the particular draggable root, and the particular draggable suffix.

摘要： Scheme and knowledge trainer apparatus for teaching trainees sortation scheme and knowledge items and skill for sorting such as mail sorting and the like, comprising an electronic sortation training console having a switch panel depicting plural horizontal rows and vertical columns of sort blocks symbolizing discrete sort locations each having a touch sensing switch and changeable indicia strips for providing the sort blocks with legends denoting sort location titles therefor. A visual projector is provided for receiving a training film having frames for successively displaying lesson information on a viewing screen depicting sort location legends correlated with the legends on the console blocks and having apparatus for producing correct location signals denoting the correct console sort block location for the displayed legends. Electronic circuits are coupled to the switches and respond to activation of the switches and to the correct location signals for sensing correct and error sorts upon activation of the touch sensing switches and providing continuous counts thereof on correct and incorrect readout counters. Light indication of the correct sort block may be produced responsive to each activation of a switch at a wrong sort location.

One or more metrics indicating a likelihood that unauthorized information exchange is occurring may be generated based on the analysis of the monitoring data and/or the position information. A generated metric may be compared to an associated threshold and preventive measures for deterring unauthorized information exchange may be identified based on a result of the comparison.

摘要： A method and system is provided for assessing the learning experience of the person by monitoring the mental state of the person. The method involves measuring the brain signal, skin conductance using GSR device, and heart rate variability using the pulse oximeter. These physiological signals are measured when the person is performing an activity such as the modified Stroop test. Once the activity is performed, an offline questionnaire is also filled by the person. Based on the comparison of the offline questionnaire and the physiological signals, a model is generated. This model is used to assess the learning experience of the person. According to another embodiment, a method is also provided for maintaining the steady flow state of a person while performing any activity.
