    Abstract: Disclosed are a positive electrode plate, a battery cell, and a battery. The positive electrode plate includes a current collector, an active material layer, a first and a second insulation layer, where the current collector includes a first and a second surface disposed opposite each other; first surface includes a first, a second, and a third region along a short side; and second surface includes a fourth, a fifth, and a sixth region along a short side; active material layer is disposed in second and fifth region; first insulation layer is disposed in the first, third, fourth, and sixth region; and second insulation layer is disposed on active material layer and first insulation layer. The positive and negative electrode plate have a same width, to resolve a problem of poor coverage of a positive electrode and a negative electrode, thereby greatly improving safety of a battery.

    Abstract: An electrochemical device, including a housing and N separators. The N separators and the housing together define N+1 accommodating cavities arranged along a first direction. The N+1 accommodating cavities include a first accommodating cavity and a second accommodating cavity adjacent to each other, wherein N≥2. A first electrode assembly is accommodated in the first accommodating cavity, and a second electrode assembly is accommodated in the second accommodating cavity. The second electrode assembly is far from a reference surface relative to the first electrode assembly. The reference surface is a plane that passes through the 10 center of the electrochemical device along the first direction and is perpendicular to the first direction. The volume V1 of the first accommodating cavity and the volume V2 of the second accommodating cavity satisfy 0.5%≤(V2−V1)/V1≤5%, so that the safety performance of the electrochemical device is improved.

    Abstract: A lithium secondary battery includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a porous separator disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, a spacer disposed between the separator and at least one of the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte having lithium ion conductivity. In the negative electrode, the lithium metal deposits during charging, and the lithium metal dissolves during discharging. In a region where the negative electrode and the positive electrode face each other, a first region (R1) facing the spacer and a second region (R2) not facing the spacer are included. The spacer is nonporous or porous, and the spacer has a height (t) of 20 µm or more. When the spacer is porous, the spacer has a porosity Psp, the porosity Psp of the spacer being equal to or less than a porosity Pse the separator.
