Abstract: The object is to provide an attachment structure that is for attaching a swing member to a first member of an operation tool and can withstand a high load acting on the swing member and to provide a wire gripper having the attachment structure. The attachment structure for attaching a swing member to a first member of an operation tool includes: the first member having a first through hole; the swing member having a second through hole; a first pin member having a shaft portion inserted through the first through hole and the second through hole; a reinforcement member that prevents the first member and the swing member from coming out of the first pin member and supports at least a part of a bending load or a torsional load received by the swing member; and a fixing member that fixes the reinforcement member to the first pin member. A fitting groove is provided in an outer circumference surface of the shaft portion of the first pin member. The reinforcement member includes an insertion portion inserted in the fitting groove and a retaining portion protruding out of the fitting groove. The fixing member fixes the reinforcement member to the first pin member with the reinforcement member being fit into the first pin member.

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a cable laying method that enables efficient work.
A cable laying method according to the present invention includes: preparing a structure 31 having a hook 32; fixing a cable 50 to the hook 32 attached to a surface of the cap-type structure 31 on the ground in the vicinity of a pole 11 built on the ground 10; lifting the structure 31 up to the vicinity of a tip of the pole 11; and covering the tip of the pole 11 with the structure 31. This cable laying method eliminates the need to work in high places. This cable laying method is efficient because it eliminates the need to work in high places.

Abstract: An anti-rotation device is provided for stringing a cable or wire while reducing a twisting moment of the cable or wire as it is strung. The device includes a tow component, having multiple tow sections pivotally connectable end-to-end. A plurality of insulated weighted tails are suspended so as to hang from the tow component. Each of the tails include weighted tail sections releasably connectable end-to-end to one another. At least one electrically insulated tail section is provided in each tail between the tow component and at least some of the weighted tail sections. The tails are constrained to only articulate relative to the tow component in the single plane of bending of the tow component.

Abstract: A clamp for suspending a wire is provided. The clamp includes a base having a support surface that defines a first boundary of a wire receiving region. The clamp includes a keeper having an elastomer lining that defines a second boundary of the wire receiving region. The clamp includes means for providing force to at least one of the keeper or the base such that, when the wire is in the receiving region, the elastomer lining is pressed against the wire to provide a static retaining force, as a function of the force, on the wire to retain the wire relative to the clamp and permits sliding of the wire relative to the clamp when a pulling force on the wire exceeds the static retaining force and remains within a designed slip force range.

Abstract: The present invention relates to replacing conductors in a high-voltage power transfer system. The method provides, for example, a method for maintaining sections of electrically conductive phases in a three-phase power conductor line, wherein the three phases are parallel and spaced apart in an ordered sequence. The phases are strung between support structures and supported above the ground. Maintenance work, which include replacement or repair, is performed on sections of the three phases without interrupting a power load in any one of the three phases and without transposing the relative positions of the phases out of their ordered sequence.

Abstract: A protective apparatus for a distribution line conductor includes an elongate tube configured to be installed on the conductor and a plurality of annular members concentrically positioned on the tube and configured to rotate independently of each other. The tube has a longitudinal axis and defines a longitudinally extending chamber configured to receive the conductor. The tube has opposite first and second ends and a longitudinally extending opening from the first end to the second end that facilitates installation of the elongate tube on the conductor. Each annular member includes an outer surface and a plurality of circumferentially-spaced apart members extending outwardly from the outer surface. Each annular member includes a longitudinally extending slot that is configured to align with the longitudinally extending opening of the tube to facilitate installation of the elongate tube and the plurality of annular members as an assembly on the conductor.
