    摘要: A charger comprises an input circuit that receives power from a power source, a converter circuit, an output circuit, and a switching circuit. The converter circuit is connected between the input circuit and a signal ground of the charger and converts the power from a first voltage to a second voltage. The signal ground is connected to a chassis ground of the charger. The output circuit is connected between an output of the converter circuit and the signal ground and the chassis ground, and outputs the second voltage to an output connector of the charger. The switching circuit is connected between the output of the input circuit and an electrically conducting casing of the output connector, and controls the converter circuit. The switching circuit and the electrically conducting casing of the output connector are not connected to the signal ground and the chassis ground of the charger.

    摘要: An uninterruptible power supply provides improved reliability by supplying temporary standby power to a critical load and startup power to a backup power source from a single energy storage system. In the preferred embodiment, a flywheel energy storage device that produces three-phase AC voltage is used to provide temporary power to a critical load while a backup power supply, such as a diesel generator set (GENSET), is accelerated to full speed. The startup power for the GENSET is also provided from the flywheel energy storage device through a circuit that converts the AC voltage at one level to DC voltage at a lower level (e.g., 12 or 24 volts). Therefore, backup power will be provided from the GENSET unless a catastrophic failure occurs in the GENSET itself.

The adapter network (AN) consists of an adapter transformer (TR) and several blocking diodes (DL,DE) that connect the output terminals (KA+, KA-) to the secondary winding system of the adapter transformer (TR). In addition, a regulator that consists of at least one choking coil (L), at least one pair of electronic switches (ES1,ES2) driven by a controller (STG) and one voltage limiter (BGU) is arranged between the rectifier (GR) and the adapter network (AN). The regulator generates a sequence of current pulses from the rectified mains voltage or from a direct voltage preferably connected to the apparatus by switches (SW). The energy of the current pulses flows through the adapter network (AN) to the output.
