摘要: A system for regulating energy provided to an electricity grid from an energy source, the system includes a converter configured to receive the energy from the source. The converter is configured to dynamically predict real-time maximum reactive power capability as a function of at least one from the group including (i) a direct current link maximum voltage, (ii) an instantaneous grid network voltage, and (iii) a line current. The predicted maximum reactive power capability is configured for optimizing regulation of the energy.

摘要: An oil system of a turbine engine and a method for driving an oil pump of such oil system are disclosed. In various embodiments, the oil system comprises an oil pump for fluid communication with one or more lubrication loads of the turbine engine, a first source of motive power and a coupling device. The first source of motive power is drivingly engaged to the oil pump for driving the oil pump during a first mode of operation. The coupling device is configured to drivingly disengage a second source of motive power from the oil pump during the first mode of operation and drivingly engage the second source of motive power with the oil pump to drive the oil pump during a second mode of operation.

摘要: The disclosure relates to optimization of gas turbine power plant response during power system transients. In certain embodiments, systems, methods, and apparatus can control a power generating system by using the reactive components of the current and the reactive components of the voltage and the magnitude of the voltage at the generator terminals of a gas turbine generator system. In one embodiment, a system can identify a power system fault based on at least three conditions occurring for a specified duration and at substantially the same time: (1) an increase in the reactive current, (2) a decrease in the magnitude of the voltage, and (3) an increase in the reactive power. In one embodiment, a power system can further detect a remote breaker open (RBO) condition, and distinguish a RBO condition from a power system fault condition.
